Love the warning 🤘Best rock band in years for me .
Since November 2021 when they resumed touring post pandemic I’ve travelled over 11,000 miles and seen them in concert 13 times. Four rock festivals, twice as the opening act for Halestorm and Three Days Grace respectively, and seven times as the headliner.
This is the song they usually open their concerts with, at least for the past year. Pau, the drummer, comes out on stage first and starts the beat, followed by Ale, the bassist, who begins the song with Dany coming out shortly after to fire up the crowd and start playing her guitar and singing. Despite their youth, they have been playing as a band for over ten years, and have two EPs and three albums, though the latest EP contains six songs that also appear on the album, Error, which they just released last year. They signed with Lava Republic Records, the first Latin American band to sign with a major US label. Error was produced by award-winning David Bendeth. Their previous two albums, XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene, and their initial EP, Escape the Mind were crowdfunded by their supporters and from proceeds from their concerts. In 2014 they had a cover of Enter Sandman go viral. The attention landed them an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show. Each of them was awarded a $10,000 scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston where they made some connections with professional musicians and learned music theory, songwriting, and several other aspects of being pro musicians. In the past year they have opened for Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses, Three Days Grace, Stone Temple Pilots, and Halestorm - the latter they toured with throughout the summer and fall. They also headlined a series of shows in the US and Mexico, as well as making an appearance at a festival in Columbia and a headline show in Lima, Peru. Over 100 shows last year. This year they just opened four shows in Mexico for Muse and are slated to play several festivals in the US and at least one in Europe. Rumors are they are going to play several other shows in Europe this summer. They have also been writing songs for a new album, but no word yet on when they will go back into the studio to record their next album. As you explore their catalog of nearly 50 songs you will discover that no matter how young they were when they wrote their material they don't appear to know how to write a bad song. Their first album and the lead single from it won some awards for best music video. Queen of the Murder Scene is a Rock novel about a stalker turned murderer, and they wrote that when they were all teenagers! A lot of Warning Army members will tell you that is their best album. Although it has some real bangers I still think their latest, Error, is their best so far.

I have seen them six times. Twice at the Whisky a GoGo in Los Angelas, twice in New York City, once in my home town of Salt Lake City, Utah USA and once in Colorado, USA. They are a world class live band. Their decade of playing live shows is evident when you experience them live. Nothing prepares you for it. I watched every video possible leading up to my initial show in 2019. I met them before the show, and was surprised by how low key and humble they were. Then the show started, and good God….I was transfixed for the hour and forty five minute set. My memory was of me jumping around and being totally involved in the music, but I have seen video proof that instead, I was as rooted as a statue. They have the ability to draw you into their world of music, and hold you in a state of joyful disbelief, only to leave you totally spent emotionally.

They just opened four shows for Muse in Mexico with it. I saw them open for Three Days Grace in Vancouver. Moved me to buy my first concert tickets in decades.

You're only scratching the surface here, my friend. Three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. They are winning the hearts of new fans around the world though they have had a great following since they were quite young. Comparing them to other bands is a tough one because they evoke an array pleasant musical throw backs to classic rock and roll 70's, 80's, 90's and even early 2000s. They have opened for Def Leppard, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, Three Days Grace and just finished a run with Muse (one their main influences and their all time favorite band) in Mexico. 3 albums strong and 40+ great songs under their belt. Check their current touring schedule. They play a couple of festivals in Germany and they will likely add more dates in Europe soon.

Not from the US. From Monterrey, Mexico. Sisters. Phenomenal band. So creative that they are compared to many different types of bands and subgenres, but are not slaves to any of them. No two songs of theirs sound alike.
They are fantastic live. Jason Flom of Lava / Republic Records saw them once at The Mercury Lounge in NYC and 7 months later had them signed in June of 2020. Chris Smith of 21 Entertainment Group in Toronto heard the first 8 bars of their opening song at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Hollywood CA, approached their manager Rudy Joffroy and said "I want to be a part of this", met them after the show, and later flew from Toronto to their home in Monterrey MX and signed them as their international booking manager. So, yeah, seeing them live is special. No pyrotechnics, no fancy light show, no flash and flare, no costumes, no flaunting themselves, just straight up pure rock music and their performance. Just like you saw here. Plain, simple, straight up.
So, you got the DW drums and the PRS guitar, but missed the bass. It is a custom 5 string Spector bass. Alejandra just turned 18 in December and has been a featured artist with Soector since she was 14 or 15. Spector personality delivered her bass to her in 2020 when TW were recording their 3rd studio album in New Jersey. Alejandra was 15 at then.
This song is from the album "Error", recorded in 2020 daring the pandemic and released in 2022.
Their music speaks for itself. They don't sound like anyone else. Their talent is pure and they love performing.
They all live at home in Monterrey MX, share the same room, and consider each other best friends and like being together along their parents who travel with them on tour and every show.
There really is no one to compare them to. They are just a bundle of bad ass.

They just released a pro-shot video from a concert they did in Mexico City in August. You can see what they are like live. Besides these instruments they all played classical music on piano before picking up these instruments. The bass player doesn't normally sing lead but she will if the main singer needs a break. So what you have are 3 sisters that are all singer/songwriters as well. I believe they have released 47 original songs over an EP and 3 studio albums.

The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 18) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 20) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 22) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band.
They had been uploading their musical journey to RUclips for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsing for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA.
They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues.
In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, RUclips and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever!
So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on RUclips and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star.
On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021.
In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica album. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song...

On October 8th, 2021, The Warning released six songs that were recorded for the new album on an EP titled Mayday with the remaining 6 songs to be released at a later date.
Starting on the 18th of Feburary 2022 The Warning started out on their previously twice cancelled North American Mayday Tour. Their forst show was on Saltillo Mx followed by a short set openning for Mammoth WVH in Las Vegas, NV and another short set opening for Sammy Hagar in Austin Tx at the SXSW Festival. In Mexico City on March 18, The Warning got to open

You ain't seen nothin' yet, my dude! These sisters are from Mexico. They are the Swiss Army Knife of rock. They effortlessly blend multiple genres and decades of rock into a familiar yet fresh package! They are true musical prodigies, and I don't say that lightly.
Daniela (22) is a PRS guitars artist. Paulina (20) is playing DW Drums and she is a Sabian Cymbals artist. Alejandra (18) is a Spector Bass artist and is playing a custom Spector 5-string made specifically for her. They released their latest album in July of 2022 and their first signed with Lava/Republic Records. They are the first ever Latin American band to sign directly with a US major Label.

Would love to claim them as being American, but close enough, they are from Monterrey, Mexico. Three sisters, Daniela (Dany) guitarist and lead singer 22 years old and about to turn 23 on Jan. 30th. Paulina (Pau) Drummer, lead vocals and backup singer, 20 years old and about to turn 21 on Feb. 5th. And Alejandra (Ale) bassist and backup singer just turned 18 on Dec. 13. All three are musical prodigies. Three full length albums and an EP to their credit and they write all their own songs. Peace.
The Warning Army is showing up in force! You do more of The Warning videos and you won't lack for views and likes! Their sound is just good ol' hard rock with some punk, pop, and grunge thrown in making it familiar but unique. And if you like drummers, this one is something special.

@@DMDrumsscotland Even though their native tongue is Spanish, of course, they are more articulate in English than most native English speakers. They like interviews where they are challenged and asked complex, open-ended questions.
I had the privilege of seeing them live in June, 2022. How was it? Mesmerizing! I had what I thought to be unrealistically high expectations, but these three surpassed those in the first song.

Welcome to The Warning. An absolutely amazing band and by far my favorite band. You ask about seeing them live I can tell you I saw them 4 times last year and their live performance is at another level. I love the studio versions but you can't beat them live. I'm not going to say to much because you will have The Warning Army knocking down you door and giving you plenty more information about this incredible band. I do hope you continue with this band. This is a really good song but this is just the tip of the iceberg. So as we say to those that have just discovered The Warning, you have been Warned.

Nice reaction. You caught what they are all about real quick. Best power trio on the planet right now. They pack a punch with great songwriting, great talent, great lyrics, and, unlimited enthusiasm. I'm not sure about the Siouxsie comparison however. I love the Banshees, but The Warning similarities aren't really there. Glad you got a taste of this great band. Live they are incredible. Please do more of them.

Welcome to the Warning and their fanbase the Warning Army (TWA). Three sisters from Mexico that are a mixture of classic rock with a bit of grunge, punk, reggae, you name it. Fantastic musicians, song writers, song arrangers, and one of the best live bands I've ever experienced. Only band I've ever listened to that doesn't have a single song I would fast forward. Even though the oldest (Daniela, the guitarist) is just turning 23 tomorrow they have been playing as a band for 10 years. They all picked up their instruments when they were between 6 and 8 years old so they have been at this for a while. The are technically amazing musicians and a fantastic band. They are just coming of a 4 concert tour as the opening act for Muse. This summer they were opening for Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and others. Try this performance of Dust to Dust from 2019 where Paulina the drummer sings lead while drumming. There are many newer performances but I chose this one because even back then when she was 17 she was kicking ass and taking names. You are correct. These girls are phenomenal and even better live. I'm from Liverpool, and I flew to Texas just to see them in May of last year. I went to 3 shows and met them before each one. They are humble, gracious, and lovely young ladies.
Their dad Luis came across and shook my hand when I told the I flew over from England to see them. He thanked me for my support, as did the girls. Super nice moment.
I met loads of great people who are known as THE WARNING ARMY (TWA).
These girls are great performers, songwriters, and musicians. They have over 40+ original songs and not a bad one imo.

The Warning have shown that they are a talented rock group with solid themes and deep lyrics like ,Z, their QOTMS Y ERROR albums show it, TW is the best hard rock trio of 2023 and Dany the riff master, without forget their incredible ballads performed by Pau with his hoarse and melancholic voice and Ale his choirs and his tremendous bass lines, TW masters of Rock
By the way they are playing 2 concerts in Nuremberg in June 2023.

These 3 Sisters all learned Piano first then their Father bought them the Video Game Rock Band..They loved it and decided to form a band. Rock Band was so impressed that they put one of their original songs on Rock Band. Metalica was so impressed with they're version of Enter sandman that they put it on the Black Album as the first song.
They were invited to participate in it along with Alessia Cara. Their version is almost surely first because Enter Sandman was the first song on the Black Album and Alessia Cara's was first in alphabetical order of everyone who chose Enter Sandman. Regardless, the Blacklist Album saves the best for first.

Old bass player here. Pau is the drummer I always wanted to play with. Her rock pocket is so solid, kick notes leading the way, lots of floor tom work. Ale's bass notes land on the points of the drum notes. I have stood in front of them and injured my rib cage. Between them, they can carry the song without the guitar. @@ivanguerrero7934 It's a double festival, held on one weekend in two locations that are 400 kilometers apart. Apparently, they transfer the whole lineup of one day to perform in the other location the next day.

The Warning are playing a couple of festivals in Germany in the summer and have hinted at a European tour (by teasing on Patreon with a map). They were scheduled to play a gig in London but then the pandemic hit. Hopefully that will get rescheduled at some point.

I am 57 and my wife and I have seen them live twice and they were outstanding. They were the headliner once and the other time they opened up for Halestorm. You are never to old to listen to ROCK. When these ladies get behind their instruments they no what they are doing. I would see them again no if and or buts.
The Warning is the best three piece band on the planet, currently, and one of the best ever, imho!

Great reaction! To reinforce what you've started to learn, The Warning are made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. They are Daniela (Dany) lead guitar and vocals (22 years old), Paulina (Pau) drums, 20, and Alejandra (Ale) 18, on bass. Their music blends traditional genres - like classic rock, hard rock, pop and grunge - and turns it into something familiar yet unique. Last year, they opened for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City ... sadly just a week before Taylor Hawkins passed. And they’ve just finished opening for Muse for 4 nights in Mexico.

Kirk Hammett said that the drummer "kicked maximum ass" when she was 12 years old, so it was amusing to hear you say she "is very spunky and is going to kick some back side” (she turns 21 on 5 February). And I think this is one of their mellowed, funkier songs. They have deep roots in classic hard rock, with other genres mixed in, depending on song - grunge, punk, metal, etc. Try 'Evolve' and 'Disciple'. We, The Warning Army, will be here for you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of The Warning! I see that The Warning Army has already filled you in on a lot of the relevant info and numerous suggestions so I'll keep it short. Close to 50 original songs in their library so far and not a single bad song in the bunch. Pick any of them and you're in for a ride. One of the things that they pride themselves on is not being beholden to a certain style for their songs - they write each song to make that song it's absolute best whether that means that it becomes a ballad with piano and acoustic guitar or a headbanging metal song then so be it. Disciple is a song I hope you check out. It really shows cases all three ladies. A song with a message, Ale's killer bass line, The harmonies of all three, The duet between Dany and Pau, the great fills on the drums and the melodic guitar riffs. These three wonderful ladies are great role models as well. They have family values and have surrounded themselves with a great team.
They are an exceptional live band. They write their music -- which really varies enormously in character, and yes, they write it entirely themselves -- with performance in mind. They're a lot of fun to watch; Dany (Daniela, on guitar, about to turn 23) bounces around the stage, teases the crowd, and sings most of the leads; Pau (Paulina, drums, about to turn 21) sings about 25% of the leads and was described by Arejay Hale as the most insane drummer on the tour (with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and Lilith Czar), and also initiates the writing of most of their songs; Ale (Alejandra, pronounced AH-leh, bass, just turned 18 last month) isn't as outgoing as the other two and prefers not to sing lead, but she will if needed, prowls the stage, and plays a lot of very prominent bass lines. If you watch and listen carefully, during Dany's guitar solo on this song, Ale plays essentially a rhythm guitar line backing the solo.
Your point about eye contact is on point. They use a click track, but are prepared in case it fails, as it has been known to do. Constant communication is the name of the game.

Liked and subscribed just to watch the journey you're going to take being WARNED! The feeling that life has gotten a little brighter will come often. The music is so infectious, I don"t miss a day of listening or watching something related to them! It's the Warning family atmosphere that has captured my attention. The genuine humility that this family, crew, and fans exhibit can not be overlooked. I've seen them twice in small venue headline shows, and that was all it took for me to be convinced that DPA, The Warning, are Rock Legends in the making! You have some catching up to do, enjoy!

The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers who live in Monterrey, Mexico. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 22, 20 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 2 more times during the 6 shows I attended on their recent North American MAYDAY Tour.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

Show this band respect and your Subscriber totals will climb. The talent of this band is undeniable. Saw them in July 2022. 35 minute set opening for Halestorm. Found them in late April and was at the Nightwish concert in NYC and saw they were playing at the Gramercy Theater, NYC. Didn't go(finances) and it is the biggest mistake I've made in years. They were in their USA MayDay tour and played for 1hr and 25minutes. Won't make that mistake again!

The Warning is a band where going down the rabbit hole is so worth it. Daniella "Dany" (guitar, piano, lead/back vox), Paulina "Pau" (drums, piano lead/back vox) and Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal Velez (bass, piano, backing vox) are a force to behold. They are the future and the huge shot of adrenaline rock desperately needed, and given their ages (Day, turns 23 on Jan 30th), Pau turns 21 Feb 5th, and Ale just turned 18 Dec 5th). The hunger for rock lives and breathes in them which honestly really has not been seen in decades (I'm taking at least 30 years).
I highly recommend checking out the sessions for Choke, Animosity, and Evolve which were all filmed at this same location Z was.
Their reworked cover of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara is absolutely incredible (in fact about 10 years ago their cover of the original song got noticed by Metallica and the guys loved it), and their new version is featured on Metallica's Blacklist album. Their biggest moment came for them earlier in January when their dream of opening for Muse came true (11 years in the making). The Warning will be bigger than Iron Maiden and Metallica. Truly they are the face of rock in the 21st century!

Z (pronounced "zee") is from their latest album Error, which is their 3rd, but their first as a signed band. They were independent prior to that relying on their patreon and crowdfunding to support them. Their previous album "Queen of the Murder Scene" is a concept album that they describe as a Rock Novel and it follows the story of the Crimson Queen from unrequited love, to obsession, murder, and madness, and finally death. It's a masterpiece from start to finish, and if you get that far, live is definitely the way to experience the story.

Thanks for your nice and insightful reaction to my favorite band. If you stick to them, you will find a lot more genres, they are including in their songs. I'm always struggeling with suggesting a song, my personal favorite right now is Evolve from their latest album "Error". But what was completely new to me while developing their music: I haven't found any song in their catalogue (about 50 original songs) that I would skip. I know every single one and listen to all of them on a regular basis. So choose anyone, with a chance you will also never be disappointed.

Dany the Guitarist is the oldest. Pau the Drummer is second and Ale the youngest plays Bass. Ale got some extra juics as she is now the Tallest. Pau is very short.
Everyone wants to pigeon hole a new band they've heard for the first time. The Warning are like the story of the three blind mice walking around on an elephant. They can't be pinned down from one song or another! Can you say, "a great rock band?" Sure! I knew ya could. They have MANY sounds and have had many hundreds of influences. They are (as I write this in February 2024) 19, 22, and 24 years old, and have been playing together since they were little kids! They'd been playing together for two years when they covered Metallica's *Enter Sandman* in 2014. They're seasoned veterans of the stage now. Album #4 is in the works. They just played ShipRocked, the cruise boat for rockers, and they tour Europe in summer, 2024.

Go for the live sesion of Animosity, is from this same set and don't dissapoints. Tha warning is an amazing band with 3 albums and 1 EP (their beggings).
The live performance of Animosity that they released this week from the first Mexico City concert is IMO much better. Dany's voice was strong at the time of the live session, but that was the better part of 2 years before the CDMX performance, and her voice is much more powerful now.
