    The one thing I learned when I switched to Nikon and now Sony from shooting Canon is the difference in that the older Canon glass, (8- blade aperture, 8-point sunstar) can produce sunstars without having to stop down so fare. I personally am not as big of fan with 'busy' sunstars that the Nikon and Sony and newer Canon lenses produce (9-blade aperture, 18-point sunstars). That's probably the biggest reason I like shooting with the Sony a7rIII is not so much the camera but I can still use older Canon glass when I want a nice clean minual sunstar. The Zeiss Loxia lenses, (10-straight blade, 10-point sunstar) are also very nice. The Zeiss Loxia 21mm will produce a sunstar even at f/2.8! Just a preference. But another great informative video as always.

    Hi, I've been there several times over the years and have never seen another photographer there, until today. When I was there today, two young fellas showed up with backpacks, tripods and wellies. One went upstream and the other down. They definitely had a plan. Not saying its a bad thing, just saying, that's all. Cheers

    Thanks Adam & his lordship... You have become masterful in the art of subtle light indeed. I agree, the image from the previous day shot at 1.5 sec. exp. was exceptional. Funny, typically my preferred speeds on smallish waterfalls is around .4 or .5 secs.to capture those beautiful water shapes without turning the water into a flurry slush. However, I love it when a slightly longer exp. sometimes turns out to be the winning shot!
    Great stuff Adam & I thank you again...

    • @AlergicToSnow
      @AlergicToSnow 5 лет назад

      William Farr actually I’ve found you can’t predetermine shutter speed for a look because it depends on how fast the water is moving. In the spring when the water is really flowing I’m usually around ½ sec whereas in the summer if it hasn’t rained lately it could be several seconds.

Your video shots coming through, over, around and close to the trees and water in all of your videos is second to none.
