So nice to see scale models operating at scale speed. So many models are operated way above their scale speeds, instantly killing their otherwise realistic appearance. This is particularly so with flying model aircraft. A very worthy display-well done!
+Bruce Maclennan Thank you very much for the friendly comment. I am the man behind the controller and behind the camcorder and it is not an easy to do the jobs at the same time with a good result. All the traction units have got different characteristics. With the same voltage some crawl, other race. Often I had to repeat the filming.
@g6akn Thank you for your compliment. Sorry to say, my layout is under construction since many years. All the buildings are in scale H0 (1:87) - wrote their kit producers, but I’m rather sure, they are even smaller. Most of our H0/00 layouts are not big enough to look nice with town houses in correct scale.
Hi I very much liked your video of your Blackpool 00 scale tram collection I just want to know where you got your Blackpool Rocket tram 00 scale kit please because I have been trying to get one in my collection & how much would it cost me to buy so many thanks & I hope to here from you again very soon. Tony
Hi Tony, I bought my white metal kit many years ago. I found that kit here today: www.tramwayinfo.com/Defmajestic.htm The kit contains only items made of white metal. I hope, that will help. Helmut G.
@meshtools Thank you! The next step for a more authentic looking layout is using my home-made "Pan-Trolleys". My YT clip "00/H0 Stangenstromabnehmer für Straßenbahnmodelle selbstgemacht " shows it.
I ordered mine from Hattons, Liverpool, via their email shop. You will get complete PCC models. Throw away the body shells and use the complete mech for to motorise Balloons or Brush Cars.

I use for my latest Balloons (Hadfield and Corgi) the mechanism of the cheap Bachmann PCC with the tiny can motor, visible at 7:12.

Very good! Any chance of using Trolly poles?
That is very good.
What type of mechanisms are you using from Bachmann on the "Balloon Cars?"

A cheap way getting Bachmann PCC mechs is to order complete PCC models (e.g. ehattons) and to use the body shells e.g. for a tram scrap yard.
