You'll see him at :43. He's the one carrying the hat. From what i've heard Kuroda likes to stay in character (in this case q) before matches, so he stays quiet.
Look up Kuroda @ SBO Finals 2009 (RUclips won't allow links in comments). Kuroda notably beats [厳密神ピエロ] Pierrot (Remy), [やっくん] Yakkun (Yun), and [ヌキ] Nuki (Chun). Search up Game-Versus Danisen Grade. Those are the Japanese rankings. Yakkun is perhaps the best Yun player. Nuki is amongst the top Chun Li and Ken players, and sided with Daigo as Ohnuki back in Daigo's hey day. Check out the Game Spot Versus League Battle [猛者], find [クロダ] Kuroda. Do your research. Look up videos. Or stay a fool.
God I usually don't comment on ignorance that I find on youtube, but this I can't resist. Ok for one MOV who has won more sbos in 3rd strike then anyone said kuroda is the best 3s player in the world. Also to even mention justin wong as a top 3s player is absurd. Not only did Kuroda make a fool of ocv both him and rick otriz (both of which are chun players) he did it with Q and mocked him the entire match for example constantly jumpin back with hk and spending 70 secs of the rounds in the corner
But that doesn't mean some characters can't have seemingly disproportionately good abilities. Although I do agree when you say fighting games are about winning. The better you utilize your chosen characters abilities, the better you will become at beating your opponents.
@Removes dont take anything away form KO though. He is one of the best Yun Players in Japan. They have this match constantly over the years. Sometimes Kuroda bodies KO and then the other way around.
It's definitely more work than just doing a regular super that deals a rediculous set amout of damage, so in some ways it's at least a little more fair. You have to actually learn combos with his supermode.
LOL Yeah. It's amazing that they got to semis on their own. Ino was there third teammate, but he didn't show up : / They probably could have won again.
That is very true... I suppose he could mess up and waste his super. However, it seems his super is harder to defend against than most. He can activate it at the other side of the stage and still sometimes expect to get his opponent into a juggle :( Anyway, I have barely played this game so to be honest my opinion doesn't count for much XD
This was true SOMEWHAT back then, today the "Cheap" more or less exists. Vanilla Phoenix, Vanilla Sagat, or even slightly older, A-Bison could be described and justified as cheap.
@ksmoove12able I could link you to some videos of Kuroda beating Jwong if you'd like. I could also link you to videos of him beating plenty of above average Oro players. I'm also pretty sure Kuroda almost won SBO using Q. It's not a matter of him being able to beat you or not, Kuroda has beat other professional players consistently and thus has been named the best 3S player.
The point is, it's harder to land hugos SA. A good Yun player will be able to land at least a couple of juggles from his SA in a game, whereas Hugo would be lucky to get 1 against a good opponent.
Damn, the end was intense. Hugo held out for a while, but Dudley's player stayed patient, poked at him, waited for that mistake, and hit with a massive Corkscrew Blow. Good fight.
Have to wonder if he was having an off day or something. But still, I wouldn't go calling Yun too much of a monster in this case, Q has absolutely monstrous burst damage capability.
yes he is, one of the best in japan, but the yun player is generally considered the best overall player to ever play the game(he's won with yun, yang and makoto among others, so notice i didnt say best at a certain hero, thats for you daigo fanboys rx fanboys too)
where the hell is j dammit!? lol jk...great matches with phenomenal players...this game honestly will never die because of matches of epic proportions like this
@IAmKingHomey I honestly wouldn't care if the other guy is arrogant or not. As long they beat me fair and square, all that matters is getting better and to win the rematch.
Watched the video in hopes of seeing Kuroda's skills, but unfortunately he got thoroughly beaten. I did, at least, see Hugo kick Yun's ass! I kinda agree with SFtheWolf: some characters like Yun are way too overpowered.
wouldve been so epic if hayao red parried partway into the corkscrew and supered back, woulda killed kokujin and been absolutely ridiculous for the comeback win.
You know if I remember correctly he did beat Justin Wong, and apparently enough so that Justing Wong was really salty; can't remember when or where this was though. Point being go watch more matches before saying bs like this.
2:48 - 2:56 is the reason I hate Yun. His stupid juggles are no fun to play against. And doesn't it feel a bit cheap taking away half your opponents health with one juggle?
@Ebortion let me rephrase thathe is good enough to enter sbo and compete well just not win it... and all great players arent just great they become champions of the world not just those who competed
Uh, no. Kuroda is the best. Check the 2chan Player Rankings. It's Kuroda at the top of every character chart. He played Akuma/Gouki at this past SBO and destroyed everyone.
@LULZTHREAT ya I thought Yun's Genei Jin did a little too much damage considering Q's vitality.
4 of my most favourite 3's players in a single event, AWESOME
I want to see a good Q vs Hugo match have any videos people? Pls reply.
@BlueBlaze93 Pretty much yes. Also f+mk overhead and double palm hp.
@codyhamilton316 No, thats Hayao. Kokujin is the second left to right.
hey does that Hayao dude still exist? anyone?
Yes! Most recent EVO!
anyone know if theres a kuroda vs daigo match???
In 2002 when the japanese first came to Evo, they were asked the question, Who's the best?
They all answered Kuroda.
@RyukendenY So Hayao paid... one quarter of the price?
Forgive my ignorance, but which one was which? Was the one in the sailor moon/power ranger costume Kuroda? And which one of them was Kokujin?
Who's wearing the funny outfit? which one is which? And where is Kuroda and Hayao now, did they quit? Why?
Did they get that rufus dive move from yun?
@robbinsillinois Thank you :P
No wait a second, which one of them was the one in the sailor scout outfit?
That Dudley Cross-under XX Super was brilliant!
You'll see him at :43. He's the one carrying the hat. From what i've heard Kuroda likes to stay in character (in this case q) before matches, so he stays quiet.
@nigaplzitzron Like 1 damage, or was it 10?
@Vdon Most games are about winning, that doesn't mean there's not tiers.
Haha, every time Hayao did a 360, the audience emulated what Yun's reaction would have been, "Whooooaaaoooo!!!...."
WTF, Hayao didn't performed his super at the very end? Or won't it happen?
@dragonfirelee thank you man cuz kuroda is a BEAST in the highest order
Hayao, what does the scouter say about his power level?
Both these teams are ridiculously skilled.

wow perfect!
That series of red parries > SA1 from Hayao left me gobsmacked ! Favorited !
RAWR! Hugo hugged Yun to death! LOL that was just funny.
im guessin hayao is hugos girl and kuroda is holding Q's head
Kuroda and Hayao both went in character...
not really its just when I state my opion you either like it or you dont
I love it when I see top players like these not taking themselves seriously (outside of game I mean).
Good shit from the Yun.
Never have seen Kuroda get shut down so easily.
God I usually don't comment on ignorance that I find on youtube, but this I can't resist. Ok for one MOV who has won more sbos in 3rd strike then anyone said kuroda is the best 3s player in the world. Also to even mention justin wong as a top 3s player is absurd. @Vdon It's actually harder to be cheap in this game than in SF4.
Yeah! It's awesome that Kuroda uses Q, for a few reasons...Low Tier...Cool as hell...and my fav.
even though he got beasted?
@mindahl J.Wong anyone ?
Lemme guess...you play either, twelve, q, or alex.
is the cosplayer hayao?
But that doesn't mean some characters can't have seemingly disproportionately good abilities.
Although I do agree when you say fighting games are about winning. The better you utilize your chosen characters abilities, the better you will become at beating your opponents.
lol who is that in the dress
i wish theyd bring hugo back just so we can watch that dude fight again.
even though kokujin's dudley is one of my top fav's... i HAVE to cheer for any Hugos (Hayao) he faces
LOL, had to find this video since UltraDavid commented about it during FR.
True dat, I still can't bring my self to use Ken or Ryu, i've gotta have some sort of challenge I guess.
I don't think anyone notices but in the 2nd Round Vs. K.O., Hayao only did 360 to kill him.
5:47 - WWWWWWWWHOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHH
@Removes dont take anything away form KO though. He is one of the best Yun Players in Japan. They have this match constantly over the years. Sometimes Kuroda bodies KO and then the other way around.
you forgot about yuki otoko...
holy fuc dude
hayao's red parry damn into grab... wow
It's definitely more work than just doing a regular super that deals a rediculous set amout of damage, so in some ways it's at least a little more fair. You have to actually learn combos with his supermode.
Knew it xP. I play Ken and Necro in tourney's, but I practice with Urien cuz he's just that cool.
I believe Kuroda continues trying to understand what happened... KO to much agressive for him!
LOL Yeah. It's amazing that they got to semis on their own.
Ino was there third teammate, but he didn't show up : /
They probably could have won again.

oh you take that back!! :D
.........WOOOOAAHHHHH!!!!
This was true SOMEWHAT back then, today the "Cheap" more or less exists. Vanilla Phoenix, Vanilla Sagat, or even slightly older, A-Bison could be described and justified as cheap.
Never seen Kuroda get such a smackdown laid upon him. He musta been sleeping at the console and just rolling on the buttons or something
Hayao's Hugo is so beastly
The guy dressed up like that is the Hugo player, Hayao.
That's a great Hugo.
you mean moonsault press? lol
@ksmoove12able I could link you to some videos of Kuroda beating Jwong if you'd like. I could also link you to videos of him beating plenty of above average Oro players. well he may be considered the best now, but for a long time KO was the top dog
All four of these guys are great but I give higher credit to Hayao and Kuroda because they use low-tier characters.
Man, I've never seen Kuroda get trashed like that before.
Hahaha I love the Japanese fan's reactions.
Also, sick fucking Hugo.
jesus are oyu allowed to land 4 Hyper Bombs?!
Thats pretty scary! I would just put the controller down and walk away if something like that happened to me...
lol kuroda makes Everyone wait during the title screen
I agree that Yun was crazy. Made Kuroda's Q look horrible. Hugo is a bit tougher because Yun has to be in close and Hugo wants to be in close.
"UUUWAAH!?"
WHOOOOOOOAHHHH
Damn, the end was intense. Hugo held out for a while, but Dudley's player stayed patient, poked at him, waited for that mistake, and hit with a massive Corkscrew Blow. Good fight.
Imagine how great a game Third Strike would be if it was balanced.
nvm read the above comments, looks like it is lol
UOOO!
UOOO!!!
UO!!!
@SoldatCrinale Nah, he's like my favorite Yang player in the world. Nothing like him
Have to wonder if he was having an off day or something.

@IAmKingHomey I honestly wouldn't care if the other guy is arrogant or not. As long they beat me fair and square, all that matters is getting better and to win the rematch.
Except he's never won an SBO, despite getting into the finals several times and pairing up with RX and Roshi...
I actually play Akuma cuz he's easy but I've been training with Q, Twelve, Urien.
Watched the video in hopes of seeing Kuroda's skills, but unfortunately he got thoroughly beaten. I did, at least, see Hugo kick Yun's ass! I kinda agree with SFtheWolf: some characters like Yun are way too overpowered.
@Blitzmidfielder cheap but not broken
crowd's reaction, it's so funny xD
wouldve been so epic if hayao red parried partway into the corkscrew and supered back, woulda killed kokujin and been absolutely ridiculous for the comeback win.
why is that dude wearing a dress?
I only realised now that Hayao won round 2 with nothing but 360 throws.
That is Hayao =D
You know if I remember correctly he did beat Justin Wong, and apparently enough so that Justing Wong was really salty; can't remember when or where this was though. Point being go watch more matches before saying bs like this.

kokujin is tight, but fujiwara is the best dudley ever. PERIOD
If only Kuroda switched places with Hayao............
