None of the starting defensive lineman from last year team of 2023 are projected to be on the first starting lineup...all of them will be backups... they were not that good at stopping the Run.. and not many sacks either.

Great coverage. This is a new defense, and many players from last year who played in schemes and positions not perfect for them will find greater success this year due to the depth. And if Omar White arrives...!
CU may have to move Wade to ILB. Their EDGE room is super competitive, especially if Wiggins steps up but the LB room needs some athleticism and size. I'm looking forward to Chidozie. He seems like a wrecking ball.

Prime rotate so much on the Dline during games it don't even matter.

I see Quincy Wiggins kicking inside often and playing a 3 technique as well as playing on the end. BJ Green starts at DE.
Yea if/when we land BJ, he definitely starts on the Edge. I like Wiggins playing the 3 tech as well. He has versatility in his game because of that speed & size combo.

Cast off players?!? Yea okay, a lot of the guys we brought in this year were STARTERS at their previous institution. Had multiple opportunities to play at other P5 schools but chose to come to Colorado. This is nothing like last year.

I think depth charts won’t mean much, because if you’re on the 2 deep, you’ll get plenty of chances to produce and the cream will rise to the top.

🫡, this group should definitely free up Bentley, Kennedy, and the rest of the ILBs. I know people were begging for an addition to the ILBs but there would be no Ray Lewis without Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa. CU should be SEC like against the run this upcoming season 😂
Very good assessment of the players up front. Michigan's offensive line weight for this past season was: 301, 315, 316, 320, and 325 pounds. Colorado will have to deal with offensive lines of this size and larger when facing top teams. Hence, we still need two defensive tackles weighing 325+ pounds in order to stop the run up the middle.
As the game gets late in the 3rd quarter, and in the 4th quarter, weight up front becomes a big factor against a big offensive line, as they run the ball up the middle. Colorado got killed in the middle of the defensive line last year because they were too small with Cokes at 275 and Payne at 310 pounds. Cokes should be moved to the edge, because he's too light in the middle. Where is Bishop Thomas?
Coach Prime needs to bring in some huge boys for the defensive interior line.
Not a bad idea to have Cokes play edge. He needs some bricks in his pockets to stay in the trenches. Hopefully, he has some speed and quickness if that transition was in fact to happen.
He got the big boys in already….and more coming lol…prime know exactly what he’s doing lol….

Do anybody noticed that none of the starting defensive lineman are talk about right now..all of the new guys are going to be starting.. ahead of them from last year.
ngl, I am much happier with this year's defense than last year. They did the best they could with what they had but there was zero depth. This led to all the holes and yardage against them. Plus, with no push up the middle the sacks came far too few from the edges. This line would have been even more lethal, no pun intended, with Omar White on the line. Still have had no update on if he is officially off the roster. But, overall, I am excited about both trenches this year. My only concern now is if they are going to get coaches that will make adjustments and put them in position to dominate.
Coach Prime has done analysis and taken council on OC/DC styles needed...Call to the players strength....let em' hunt an eat...
