I was cautious with my expectations, but the implementation looks fantastic! The only thing I just can't get over with these designs is how slim they are; they never look like there's a human body inside

At the same time, IMO the regular SHF Kamen Riders have actually improved a whole lot (maybe since the Build era), where they look much more like human wearing a suit with the right proportions. The strange thing is the opposite trend seems to happen with their Iron Man designs, where some of them used to look bulky (which I loved), but then over time they got more and more slender to the point it actually breaks immersion (Tony's waist has to be a stick figure's waist under the armour at this point). This tech-on suit appears to follow that overly slender footstep unlike Kamen Riders, which is a little disappointing. Just a nick pick tho, still admire what they're doing with this.

A lot of fans claim it's nanobots that make him ultra slim yet very powerful but I don't like how the suits have shrunken down to the proportions of a human body. He's supposed to be bulky, IMO. Unless of course, they decide to make him a cyborg, which would be dope tbh.
Love your reviews and photo montages as always. I don't really love the peeks at the other Tech-On characters, but I love the way this looks. And who knows, if they get wild with the accessories (and keep it at a pretty normal import figure price. With how big his jet pack accessory is, it is pretty sick that he's still at a reasonable price for a premium figure) the way they did with this one, it may sway me.
This is one of my first SH Figuarts figures, and he feels AMAZING. The joints are nice and tight. I can pull of a bunch of poses with relative ease, and he just feels GREAT in my hands! I'm _definitely_ picking up the other figures in this line (eyeing their Wolverine and Spidey the most).
I might have to collect these. I am a sucker for Ironman armors and the variety of different aesthetics in these are going to look crazy on a shelf together
I'm trying to jump back into collecting again and I really want to find the quintessential Iron Man figure that I can pose on the shelf and fiddle around with when I'm bored. I think this one is a good candidate; this or the S.H. Figuarts Avengers Mark VI or the Mafex comic version coming out next year.

The 3 point is achieved because the leg can actually this time go up to the ab area, which if you look at most video of iron man landing posing the leg is pushed up to the ab area which other action figures such as ZD toys does not allow. So, yes way cool.

damn I just saw this figure over the weekend and I'm torn between this and the yamaguchi one. I'm really trying to create my ultimate alliance team and I'm missing jim lee's cyclops and Iron man
don't buy many figures but I can't wait to get this one. especially since my delivery date keeps getting pushed back week after week, month after month XD SH Figuarts make some great figures though. just wish I were more interested in the other figures in this lineup because I need a Black Panther, Wolverine & can never have too many Spidermans. guess I'll probably just buy the Sentinel Black Panther coming later this year, or more likely, based off how things are going, next year. Hope to see a video of Wolverine because I might just buy him by default. side note: idk if it's the camera/lighting or just color but not loving that shade of gold they're using. though, that could be due to the movie versions being burned into my brain over the past 2 decades.
looking at some of my MCU iron man figuarts I feel like they played around that lower torso articulation but either never revealed or keep it limited, specially my MK 6 (the newer one) you can see a joint down there, there must be a way to free that
whoever at Bandai designed this figure had so much fun and wanted a good TOY. There are Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Dragon Ball figuarts that scream laziness for the same price.

i like the figure its just man that crotch are kinda reminds me of a diaper just a bit, is it just me ? but still love how well this is articulated and the design is very interesting looking

Only nitpick is that it doesn't look like a person wearing armor..like in the hip area...but still a very badass design.
Hi D! I know it's too early to determine but do you think this is prone to the fading / bubbling paint apps from the other ironman figs from SHF?
My 1 and only complaint is the Hips and upper thigh bits that look a tad gappy but the whole articulation is impressive.

thats a hard decision I'd say if you want it to look good with other figures this is the way to go but the yamaguchi is a really nice figure for poses
