Thank you, Rasa. Great reaction video to an incredible dancer/performer. I think Bersy is really good at the Mambo/Afro fusion style, she certainly has charisma and her body moves in a beautiful fluid manner. As for myself, I have to say it's been a gradually increased appeal to incorporate the afro-cuban style on my On2 dancing. A few years back I was like, not really that enthusiastic, but the more I've been playing with it, the more I enjoy it. I still, however, retain and deliberately practice to have the elegant posture of the ballroom dancer. I do love your posture and often have used your videos in my practice.
She's not actually from Málaga, she's from Venezuela :) Maybe you know but just wanted to clarify! To my friends who trained in European dance styles like ballroom or ballet, the Afro Cuban style looks "wrong" and they feel awkward doing the movements. But to my friends who learned more street styles of Latin dance before training in linear salsa, the ballroom style looks/feels wrong. I think it's really beautiful that salsa is so diverse, and there are so many different styles and no one right way. It's up to each dancer to decide what feels authentic. And we don't have to fully copy another dancer either, we can learn from many teachers and take the pieces that resonate from each one
I learned cross body salsa on1 but was later introduced to On2 and I absolutely love it. I don't dance Cuban, I've simply never learned it so I am strictly cross body all the way. I've watched a couple of Bersey's social dances and one of her performances. She is clearly an incredible dancer and you can feel her energy through the screen, but I agree her style is definitely not what I go for. One dance she did a blend of bachata, salsa and cuban with Fadi and though incredible, was a little too 'all over the place' for me. But the main thing is she is having fun and enjoying the dance and I can definitely take that from her. Rasa, I'd love for you to react to Lisa and Samuel or Marchant and Davina. They are some of my favourite dance partnerships and I love how both are elegant and smooth in style but also playful, fun with lots of body movement. Love your channel ❤ Rxxx
I agree that Bersy's feet are often turned in instead of out, which I find a no-no in any kind of dance. Apart from that she is incredible though a little rough at times...
Davud Zepeda ? There is one for you to analyze. This dance works well with the Timba style of music she is playing with. Nothing new with what she is doing, this is where Salsa came from, afro-cuban traditions. It looks more like she is doing a Zumba session here. Modern Salsa only became because Caucasian people have difficult time finding the 2nd beat count. Son, Guaguanco, Rumba came before inline on 1 Salsa.
These reaction videos are great and very helpful for follow. Thank you so much and please keep them coming☺️
Glad you enjoying them 😇
Thank you for this video Rasa. I’m new to Latin dance. It’s great to know that there are different styles and approaches to salsa. Love your channel.
So glad you enjoying the channel 😇

I agree, it would be soo boring if we all danced the same 💓

the song of the class is timba so afro stuff does make sense, and I personally love it!! A true game changer in "salsa"
ball room style is nice but I can get enough
@carlosmontesparra8548 I think its nice to incorporate different styles in your dancing 😉
Definitely really popular these days 😉
