@@BioBenRacing I still have the game even tho I do not have a gaming PC. Heck I still have my old Thomas Super Wheel. Back in the day they made great stuff. A wheel you could drop off a roof then plug it into your pc and it would still work. I used to race online with the guy who had the GPL server in his home.
Nice! I've never seen this review before, it's great!. During the making of this mod I tried my best to research about the old track. I think i still have a folder with hundreds of pictures of the old track, and I also payed attention to at least a dozen videos that are still available in the web about the old track. Considering all that material, it was evidently not enough to do justice to every inch of the track. There were several parts of the track that I didn't had any material to work on, so i had to guess. Thing is, it's so monumental, and it's so hard to find good media descriptions of several sections, that in order to build it you have to just trust that your idea of it it's right. I worked over a previously made mod for GT Legends sim game, so the track path is mostly the same as that one, but I did redone the whole sudschleife path. Most satisfying part of this work was the sudschleife. Media on that section is indeed scarce, but i believe I managed to get it relatively right, and god it's a blast to drive that one!. Cheers!
I have driven on the Nordschleife countless of times on Gran turismo and later Assetto Corsa. But the 1967 felt mostly like a whole new track. I do really like it though. Much love for AC! :))
Very nice, I wish an authorized recreation of the old Ring would exist apart from mods. I always wanted to explore the Gesamtstrecke as it was in 1927, 1937, 1957...a man can dream. I own a (almost) complete onboard lap from 1955 in color, and especially Eschbach and Brünnchen were like a whole different world. Also the mini-Karussell back then had no concrete.

I mean, in the mid-to-late '30s, you had the Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union (where the four rings badge of AUDI comes from) teams at the forefront of GP racing. In terms of possible inaccuracies, I can say that the photos and videos I've seen do indicate some places definitely used to have less tree cover. For instance, like the Flugplatz, that's not named because of the jump there; there used to be an airfield by the track in that area, which would obviously require some open space. Hey Greg. I'm not sure actually, that's something I want to look into more! I have seen a few old vids and I know from being there that there are some innacuracies I the scenery on the way down to the foxhole! Since on the right is a big valley in reality. I will have to do a follow up!

Yeah! It's still very faithful in layout! Probably because there is no room to move anything! But the bumps and humps have definitely been smoothed
