I will always give you guys my honest opinion, I was looking forward to this controller, like most of us were, unfortunately it did not live up-to the expectation. Stick with the G4S.
I appreciate the honesty... This is not a a very well designed product, and it doesn't come cheap. We still need dual sticks, and a mouse is better than any trackpad

You have to change the settings of the trackpad. The one you’re using is in AXYB mode. Change it to trackpad mode.

Do not be intimidated by the G5 controller.
Most games were designed to operate by touch. What the G5 does, it allows you to map out your buttons. You download a program called Octopus. You open all of the games from the Octopus App. Some games won't allow it, but games like PUBG, Fortnite and a few others work with it great.
Octopus overlays a transparent screen. You map out where you want each button assigned, to simulate a "touch" at a specific location on your screen. Such as the "fire" location in the screen is assigned to your R1 button. Octopus saves your mapped settings for each game you play. Touch pad has a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, you should love it.
Like the usb in the grip for keyboard and mouse. However, I like the usb dongle in your video and wish they used that in the other grip. There's just an empty slot there. Maybe they'll add it to the next model.

The g5 in game mapping editor has an option to choose from joystick mode to trackpad mode. You completely forgot this, which is why you are struggling to aim in fps games. Change it to touchpad mode for fps. This is hands down the best controller for fps you could ever get. Only the build quality ( looks good but mine has started chipping here and there) and the touchpad's slightly erratic response let it down. Fps will forever be best served by a mouse+keyboard combo, but the g5 provides the best controller experience for shooting games.
They both look good, but as you say, the G4S looks the better bet for the controller

Too bad it's missing a physical joystick. I could see that playing FPS games with that weird haptic touchpad thing was pretty much out of the question. I'm in the market for a gamepad since I wanna get a VR headset and my G4S' input lags terribly over bluetooth. Oh well, guess I'll have to look for something else.

Yes indeed. I like their innovation but not implemented well. We still need dual joysticks.
btw this was not created to replace those ps or xbox controller, it was created thinking about fps games on phones. that explains the touchpad in place of the rightside 'difficult to aim' analog stick.

You are like the first person to compair the g5 to another controller but the only battle royale that supports controllers is ROS(Rules Of Survival) i play pubg mobile with the t1s using gamesir world with remapper im going to see which one is best for me.

I feel the whole idea of physical controller was the tactile feedback of physical buttons. I think using that huge track pad wasn't the best of ideas. Even on my ps4 controller I rarely have any use for the track pad.
Yes I totally agree, i'm not ready to give-up the dual joysticks. Unless something revolutionary comes up and its not this one.
@@ChigzTech The trackpad is designed for right thumb screen swipe emulation, as needed for moba's like Arena of Valor/LoL, etc. once you adjust the sensitivity, it behaves like the aim function of your right thumb on the phone screen during battle.

They should have said that the track pad is not practical and not sensitive.
I thought the problem is in my phone so i got the galaxy s10+ because I trusted the controller “gamesir g5” and i got disappointed the problem remains the same, trackpad is not sensitive you can not aim and short in any game.
