Hey there, thanks a lot for the video! I've watched all of them. But I'm wondering if the water doesn't just pool under the screed, since there is no pre slope with a membrane on top. So I would imagine that the water ,especially with the finished screed and tiles on top, has no reason to make it's way to the drain, except when the water level is high enough? *I'm mainly thinking about the water that gets through the grout etc.* I saw that the US-Wondercaps seem to be the screw-on-type which always seem to require a pre slope?

Thank you for your comment! Yes, the water makes its way through tile grout and mortar and then onto the waterproofing membrane or shower pan liner. The membrane or pan liner is laid on top of a pre-slope which allows moisture to travel down towards the drains, safely and efficiently out of shower base. As per regulation practices, the Wondercap Shower Drain installation also requires a pre-slope as per UPC Regulations. The Wondercap Shower Drain differs from other US-Drains as it does not require bolts that pierce the liner or membrane and instead seals the liner to the flanges using pvc glue.
So I wish you a safe renovation with your shower. Be sure to use a licensed contractor and have happy memories of a job well-done.

Hi, Can the wondercap be recessed into 19mm Scyon Secura FC Flooring ? Does the kit come with the plug to complete the flood test ? Is it compatible with 2 layer membrane system above and below the screed ? Thanks
