Did you sand the bottom of the back bumper cause of the bumps?
Owner wanted to remove the rock guard texture and have it smooth just like the top portion of the z. Gave it a cleaner finish.

Not a stupid question. Lol Vinyl wrap is designed to withstand several elements such as rain dirt and can range from 3-5 yrs depending how well you take care of it. I’ve taken my car through a car wash and no problems. It won’t come off with speed or rain. How this helps.
any advice on wrapping the Z? I’m going to wrap mine but I’m gonna do it is my first time.
Wrap side skirts and quarter panel separate. Use dip where decal stripe wraps around car to make a seam. Install side skirts first and then do quarter panel overlapping side skirt seam. Seam will then face downward with a cleaner finish.
Front bumper and rear bumper use inlays first on license plate, front vents and foglights ports. Then when you install large piece just overlap on the inlays for a cleaner finish.
Quarter panel and rear bumper will be the most challenging since they have an aggressive 90 degree turn on the corner of the car. Pull while heating and stretch around corner and whatever you do keep it leveled. When making that turn don’t pull the material upward or downward or it will bite you in the ass when you get to the other side since material will be too low or too high and trying to adjust causes the material to bunch up. Keep it leveled with the car when wrapping around corners. If you have a helping hand will help, that person will pull and down to remove wrinkles while laying it down.
Removing rear bumper will make it easier to install quarter panel but be careful rear bumper has a metal bumper brace with sharp edges and can cut your material. Wrap it with a towel to prevent cutting your wrap during mock up.

Name brands such as 3m and Avery Dennison have been designed to last anywhere between 3-5 years I believe. Life span depends on how wells it’s been taken care of. This is a new brand I worked with so I really can’t say for this specific wrap. Paradoxwraps

HOW DID U DO THE HANDLES AND SIDE MIRRORS wrapping my z32 and have no clue what to do 0_0
That z32 door handle is annoying and will require several inlays. Start with the pocket first by getting a piece in as deep as you can and then work your way out. It’s like a puzzle you have to figure out and plan. Luckily I didn’t have to wrap mirrors as he had carbon fiber mirrors he didn’t want wrapped. But for mirrors heat the material and stretch it before applying to the mirror. Apply it and lay as much as you can. Once you get to the point the material will bunch up heat it and will shrink around the round edges and wrap itself whiling it’s relaxing it’s self removing all stretch/tension. You want to remove all tension on edges you will cut. If you don’t the edges will lift up first. Hopefully this helps. Good luck bro.

You ever use heat shrink on an entire car? Looks really good bro!
Yeah I use heat to soften the vinyl around curves and edges. Once it cools then I reheat to have it shrink and hug around the edges for a cleaner finish. Thanks a lot bro. Much appreciated! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The roll we had was 60ftx5ft which was more than enough.

how many feet of wrap did you need? 5x45? 5x50? 5x.....?
I think 5x50 would have been barely enough but it’s always to have extra material on hand for any mistakes like what happened to us. The roll krim bought was 5x60. While installing quarter panel/hatch panel material tore and had to remove and start over and just barely managed to have enough with a 5x60. Learn from our mistakes. Also better to have more incase in the future a panel gets damaged. Good luck.

Insert an inlay inside the door handle where there is a pocket and then wrap over the top part. Two piece wrap project.
