Your country of use But I'm sorry that this country has a challenge to use it. It's not wrong. You must support your country anyway. I'm Thai, no one But must accept the acceptance
Sometimes Marcus causes the clinch which isn’t an issue. It was the excessive clinching from Levin. Every time Marcus came forward to try to throw punch Levin clinched him. They even pointed out that the same thing happened in his previous fight and in his previous fight with Marcus. What’s the odds that Levin just so happens to keep running into people that want to clinch him a ton?
@@kaliduncanel3356 That's not true at all. Even in Muay thai, Levin didn't do work except for maybe 3-4 times... he's locking hans. Al Wickers has been around Muay Thai and KB for DECADES dude. Strict muay Thai refs would have called it holding or broken it... So on the holds? Go watch glory 21... both of them have no experience? I'm sorry but much respect, that is incorrect.
KB has the "Clinch, w/ immediate action..." so you need a knee, or break... and after they stand still you can't stay there... So basically Marcus was within legal rules letting go after 3 seconds... Levin was constantly locking his hands, only a few times throwing knees... Lion Fight 9 was a Muay Thai match between these two, and Glory 21 sets up how bad Levin wants to stall vs Marcus. Marcus in Muay Thai was actually better in the Clinch (both good) but Marcus superior... So the ruling is correct except maybe that knockdown. But if he did catch Levin w/ that knee, even if it rolled him out of the ring, since there's no standing 8 count, it was "downed by strike..." Camera angle sucked though... Levin got to keep his belt in Glory 21 doing the same shit, he acknowledged it... then repeated it here.. So as messy as it was... Simon was doing the right thing.
I'd say Marcus was imitating the clinches just as much and with his aggressive inside style of fighting clinching is inevitable. I don't think that was excessive anyway and no way did it deserve the points away the ref gave. Just ridiculous and the call knock down??? Is he having a laugh? Like a said I love Glory but I really would like to see them change the rule a bit to allow these guys to fight in the clinch. Muay Thai rule set is better I think.
+Charles Baker Its 5 seconds in Glory and the ref stopped it instantly. Also both initiated the clinch, yet only Levin was penalized. Marcus also used the clinch to manipulate Levin with clinch grappling while Levin only used it to neutralize Marcus' rush to the inside.
I disagree. If you look through it again it seems that Simon initiated just as many if not more clinches. Simon moves in to avoid getting hit and does huggy things every time they exchange. Good tactics if you dont like being hit
This is not bad ref for me.. This is a robbery. Clearly the organitzation wants marcus as a champion because he is way more "charismatic" and can bring more money. Nothing against marcus he is great but Glory is just a joke..
Are you specific to people in your own country? Muay Thai, the word "boxing" is all-use. No, it doesn't tackle. It's like a child. Lek punched each other to learn boxing before coming to speak. I can see Thai people should not should, but your people give up. Whoever, if used as a punch to punch internationally.
This is a weird one. Both fighters were aggressive and they ended up in the clinch. Sure Levin initiated the action to get into the clinch, but even in the clinch THERE WAS ACTION. Both guys were throwing knees and battling for position. Also I cant take Marcus seriously when he tries to punch an opponent that's facing away.
@@ShabazzTBL yes. This is a professional setting. Act professional. This isn't a street fight. You don't hit a man while his back is turned and is clearly quitting. You seem like a real bitch for saying that shit.
***** Glory rules on ways of clinching definitely frustrated him I guess.. He is a fighter man... If he was a quitter personality, he would've never so far and deep into the combat sport in the first place. Simon wasn't fighting good either I you say that Levin quit. It seemed like Simon initiated the clinches rather than Levin. Simon definitely was trying to initiate clinches so that Levin would fall into this Glory rule.
If the fight get to the end of the five rounds! Artem Levin it will win the fight! Artem Levin is a much better fighter. Who really won this fight it was the referee!
Levin knows the referee is on the otherside favor, 1st rd the questionable 8 count, 2nd round points deduction and the same goes the 3rd, with only 5 rounds its stupid to continue. The commentator are so bias, both are clinching and holding, they just made it one sided.
That was the worst ref I have ever witnessed. The other guy would hit while being separated and clinched just as much. The ref was out for Artem right from the start. Everyone wants a fair fight not possible with that ref.
Normally I don’t make any comments, but here the referee has done really shitty work: The clinch is logical if the both fighters go straight If one of the fighter wants to start the fight - he has all the rights to do it and referee didn’t pay any attention to the both times when Levin wanted to stop it. I think it’s a real shame on Glory for this kind of judging!
Marcus was the one charging in with stiff overhands, that's a very obvious way to initiate a clinch. Levin saw through that and clinched back, so why the fuck was he the one who got point deduction!?
I think levin is forgetting u cant clinch in glory really.. someone needs to explain its not muay thai.. levin is way better.. but he just needed to box.. I dont get it.
Marcus was forcing those clinches. In the latter rounds it might have look like Levin kept clinching Marcus up, but if you know Muay Thai you should know Marcus was setting up clinches with stiff punches, and what Levin did was only clinching before he got clinched.
It's always bad when people talk about the ref more than about the fight. However, if this causes fighters to get away from this clinching crap that noone wants to see, it's a good thing.
+DPop1979 It's mostly because folks don't understand the Glory rules when it comes to clinching. The rules do their best to discourage all but the most aggressive attacking from the clinch. IF the fighters clinch up in Glory, the rules state that attacks with knees must begin IMMEDIATELY or the clinch gets broken. Repeat clinching with no kneeing is a punishable offense, as Levin learned. Even if both fighters instantly initiate attacks from the clinch, the referee is supposed to allow the clinch to remain for MAXIMUM 5 seconds, after which the clinch is broken. However, that standing 8 count after the ring out was garbage. I think the referee was getting frustrated with all the clinching/rule breaking Levin was doing, but who knows. Levin looked fine to me though.
this ref was shit but artem really clinches a lot....that said in some cases it happens because they both end up throwing forward shots and get inside way often

referee such a fight pissed, there were forbidden twists and strikes, Maybe Marcus's belt, but Champion Artem.Markus Slabaka and for this did the forbidden tricks knew that he would lose.Markus YOU LOST))))
This is the worst ref i've ever seen in my entire life. Marcus initiated the clinches by going straight at Levin, what else is Levin meant to do? Run round the ring for 5 rounds? Marcus should have been knocked 2 points as well. That's not to mention the worst standing 8 count call ever, fell through the ropes after an illegal clinch throw and gets counted as a knockdown. I'll be sticking to ONE Championship kickboxing and Muay Thai from here.
Weak people tend to give up or not. Ranting is a matter All forms of fighting Unlike some people, they always like their country to win. Everything goes wrong. Sparrow. i love youSimon Marcus
Artem is a great muay thai fighter, but he doesn't seem to be able to stop punches without clinching. He's utterly dependant on slipping punches and winding up in the clinch. Almost zero use of forward pressure and aggression to regain his momentum, solely using control from the clinch to improve his ring position. It's almost like he's refusing to train using the Glory ruleset leading up to his matches, just assuming that the referee will let him get away with it. Welp, this ain't Russia, buddy. We don't write the rules just for the champ, they apply to all fighters. If only referees would be so vigilant about grey area fighting tactics in Mayweather matches, that'd be great.
+Charles Baker he would lose anyway he was down 3 points by the referee alone (1 fake knockdown + 2 deductions). His only hope would have been a straight KO. Sure he clinched too much, but when you get deducted TWO points for clinching and 1 point for a "knockdown" in which you were actually thrown outside the ring from (guess what) your opponent's clinch, you start to wonder whether you're wasting your time on a match you won't be allowed to win no matter what. None of this would happen if he let go of his pride and focused on jabbing from minute 0 though, you're right about that. Marcus can't box anyway.
+Charles Baker Artem would rather keep his dignity than a belt. The ref would have robbed him of victory, this way everyone knows the ref was biased and incompetent.
+Lautaro Fonz The standing 8 count was garbage, but Levin was due to lose because he couldn't follow Glory's rules about the clinch, not because of the referee's 8 count. If he wants to be a Glory fighter, he needs to fight using the Glory ruleset, which deliberately discourages excessive clinching by design.
The Kush Connoisseur The only problem with that is that Marcus was never penalized for doing the same thing, which shows clear bias. The ref was probably told to have zero tolerance with Levin because of their previous fight.
one of the worst ref's i've ever seen.
You have to study boxing before Thai people can't see it.
Your country of use But I'm sorry that this country has a challenge to use it. It's not wrong. You must support your country anyway. I'm Thai, no one But must accept the acceptance
3 rounds, 3 bad calls, 1 bad ref. loser of the match was the ref
That 8 count was the worst 8 count call I've ever seen.
i agree
dont't you think marcus was pushing forward and getting into clinch just as well, but judge was penaltizing only Levin?
Sometimes Marcus causes the clinch which isn’t an issue. It was the excessive clinching from Levin. Every time Marcus came forward to try to throw punch Levin clinched him. They even pointed out that the same thing happened in his previous fight and in his previous fight with Marcus. Absolutely the ref has zero experience in Muay Thai so no context to call the foul.

shocking ref. respect to artem.
