Naomi- I'm up tonight unable to sleep, it's almost 9:00 in the evening and I have to go to work at 4:00 a.m. so I should be in bed but when I saw your message tonight on Facebook I simply couldn't go to sleep. Well I can't get down on my knees anymore because I'm pending a knee replacement on my right knee, I stopped and bowed my head and prayed for you. God loves you! God is the god of the good days but he's also the god of the bad days. I'm here and available if you ever need to reach out and talk to someone, do not feel that you are all alone because you're not! You are part of the body of Christ and you have many sisters and brothers strangers like me that you've never even met. A little bit about myself, I was raised in a very Godly loving Christian home with the mother and father that served the Lord up until the day they died. I met my life in church, she didn't have the same background that I had her family trusted in Christ late in their lives.
My wife and I were married for 27 years, we lost several children along the way. You want to talk about shattered dreams, broken hearts, sadness, I know what it's like to go to bed with a pillow that is soaking wet with tears and my heart goes out to you. Such an unimaginable loss!
I hope that you know you can reach out to me if you are depressed and need somebody to talk to, I'm a good listener! I'm praying for you sister!

So much truth in this song. My mother went home more than 15 years ago and now recently my mother-in-law has joined her in the presence of our Savior. This song for me is very powerful as I remember all the people God has placed in my life who have gone before me that I will "view all of Heaven's splendor, hand in hand."
My Daddy passed almost 10 months ago from Cancer. I was with him every day of his battle helped my Mother take him to doctor visits. Chemo and radiation treatments. Unfortunately they diagnosed him to late and the Cancer was the fast spreading kind. Daddy fought with every thing he could but when the doctor's told us all treatments was not helping and Daddy would not eat we knew it was time for the LORD to call him HOME. Oh how i miss him but you know i had 45 years with My Daddy. I wish i could have one big hug from him and tell him once again how much he meant to me. But the way this world has got i would not wish him back to this. He is in better hands where he is. I know that my day will come and God will call me HOME. It will be a wonderful day to be reunited with my Daddy and CHRIST.
I'm on my sweet wife's phone. After 38 years together, she went to be with Jesus on January 20, 2020 because of cancer. We had no children only two sweet female Pekingese. The last one I had to put to sleep on August 20, 2020. Our gravestone has our wedding picture, our wedding date, our wedding vows from The book of Ruth chapter 1, and the names of our two sweet pets.I know without a doubt I will see them again if I just hold on to Jesus and I'm determined. I miss the flesh so bad and I've cried a River of tears. I love you sweetheart I'll see you soon. Thank you for this song.
My mother passed away September 30,2012 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Her faith never wavered and as a vocal music teacher and with her involvement with Awanas, she passed on her love of music and Christ to countless youth.
My father passed away on May 3 of this year. The morning he had his doctor's appointment that led to him being hospitalized, our next stop after the doctor was to purchase tickets to the Gaither's upcoming show in Wichita. Within 3 1/2 weeks, he passed on to glory. His last 8 days were at home thru hospice and with his 3 sons and daughter in law loving and caring for him.
This beautiful song says everything I feel...I miss them both dearly. 41 years old is young to lose both my folks. However, we will enjoy Heaven's splendor together someday and Heaven sure is sweeter knowing they're there. Thank you for this song, it touches my heart deeply. My Daddy passed a year and a half ago. Long story short we were estranged for a long time- neither of us know why but we made ammends and talked every day the last year and a half of his life. Took us the last 5 years of his life off and on to start the making ammends process but we did it. A friend sent me this.

My mom was my biggest supporter even through my many faults and stumbles that saw me incarcerated on two occasions. I served a total of 5 years and thru it all she faithfully visited each Sunday. I realize now my incarceration imprisoned her as well. She was unable to live her life bc of her concern for me.
After the second and last imprisonment I enrolled in the local university to finally complete my degree in Political science I had started many years earlier. After second semester I was so sick I could barely move. I refused to listen to my body I enrolled in summer school. 3 weeks in I was literally dying. My professor saw what was happening and advised me to take rest of session off bc I had an A avg and she would give me an A .
Long story short I was hospitalized at 3 hospitals bc Duke could diagnose me with lupus. Underwent intense chemotherapy and high prednisone medication that saved my kidneys and me. Mom was there by my side. I was able to complete my degree and graduated with my mom cheering as I received my diploma.
I remember her asking me to come inside and sit and talk and sometimes I found something more compelling. Not more important mind u but something pressing. I'm sorry mom u deserved what u gave. U gave me your life and me.......well I'm to ashamed to say

I lost both of my (adoptive) parents 35 years ago. An only child, I was left all alone to fight a pack of wolves. I was young, made many mistakes, had (and still do) a hard time making decisions bcs they made them all for me, the hard stuff. I was accused of never being there for them, of not caring but my heart was broken on the days they died, never to be the same again. They're with the Lord now, together forever but I've been left behind. I Sure Miss You!!!!!

I miss them minute by minute. We have a grown daughter who has just married. Her husband has a lot of traits her daddy had. I do believe GOD saved him for her. Her and I both HURT. Our hearts broken. My soul is heavy. There are so many "if, buts, would have and should haves I wish I had taken the opportunity to say and show my love and devotion to the both of them. It has been 1 Year, 5 Months, 21 Days, 6 hours, 14 minutes since my mother had her stroke and that was the last time we spoke. She died 4 days, 3 hours and 35 minutes later. She was my best critic, business partner, room mate, dog sitter and my dearest friend. This song captures the feeling so well. I sure miss her, but heaven's sweeter with her there.

September 4th, 2013 was the worst day of my life as I lost by best friend, my Daddy. I still have hard times because I miss him so much, but I know where he is and I know that I'll see him again one day. So thankful for the 47 years I had him. God truly Blessed me with a very special earthly father. I look so forward to the day when I'm with both him and my Heavenly Father.

The hardest thing I had to do is tell my 75 year old daddy that Nicky had been shot. Our lives have never been the same. My life has been changed forever. The sudden emptiness is so hard to explain... I still have his phone number in my phone. I can't bring myself to delete it.. This song is a true description of the way I feel.... My daughter 29 years old-March-8-2012 was leaving her deadbeat husband only to be found on the hotel room floor 12 hours later by someone else!!! The ex was searched and let go!!! I lost all 3 of my parents and I miss them so much. I would love to hear my phone ring and have my mama say “I just called to see what you were doing” I never got the chance to tell my mama just how much I love her, how much she meant to me. I thought we had all the time in the world. My FIL has liver cancer and I told my husband to cherish every single moment he has with his dad. To spend time with him every chance he can.

late husband there. He was 63 days from being discharged. He was born
and raised in Atlanta, so I ended up here with him. My brother in Tampa begged me to move down there, but back then I still had sons that GA is
their home, so I stayed. I’ve thought of
moving to Florida, but have plenty of
family in Mississippi too. I’m sure nuff a Southern gal 😂
