    To clarify 2 clips people were curious about the riders. 14:29 : "on the spot all observations were fine, no serious injury evident. Taken to hospital." and the one at 17:00 had a dislocated shoulder and a few broken bones.

      It’s the fools who rely on the GPS, and have to immediately do a U-turn as soon as it says to. Even if there’s a roundabout just 100m up the road they’ll still pull a dangerous u-turn over double lines.
      Many of the occasions I’ve witnessed recently (and had to take evasive action to avoid) had an Uber sticker in the rear window, and their passenger was on the other side of the road.

      When I learned to drive I was told whatever you do you don't obstruct the flow of traffic, so yes when turning left you get as far left as possible so car can keep moving with having brake. So many people drive like they driving B-double trucks. And that last second before they turn they have to ver to left when turning right and visa versa, gives me the shits.

    Been watching these videos for years now, and I'm still amazed by:- a) The number of people who are quite happy to drive past an accident that's happened right in front of them, b) The number of people who simply fail to look before performing a turn, c) the sheer impatience of most drivers, d) Truck drivers who still spout the "I'm a professional driver" line. If I was that careless in my industry I'd be fined, fired, and possibly jailed, and e) How many people just piss off after hitting another car. Kinda sums up just how our society is going.

    Every day passed and I’m more convinced there should be a rule that forbids people making right turn across a 3-lane road during peak hour.
    It’s almost impossible to judge the oncoming traffic whenever there’s too much vehicle blocking your view. Even when 2 lanes of traffic stopped you won’t be able to see what’s coming from the furthest lane without stepping into the “keep clear” zone, which will end up with you blocking the oncoming traffic if the vehicles on the last lane decided to not stop for you…

    • @pauloz1890
      @pauloz1890 11 месяцев назад +1

      Had an accident like this many years ago. Peak hour and two out of three lanes stopped for me to turn right. In the middle lane was a bus so visibility was poor and I don't think I even realised there was a 3rd lane. The 3rd lane was actually merging to two lanes so the driver that hit me was slowing down already so it was a pretty low speed collision.
      Learnt my lesson that day though: Just don't go at all unless all lanes have stopped for you. I see a lot of drivers on the road turning right slowly in the same situation so at least they're aware a car could be coming up that last lane...but all you need is a driver trying to beat traffic in that last lane and a collision will occur because there's very low time to react. At 5:27 we see exactly that. Funny it was an Amarok that hit me too 😂

    And all Emergency services have their own range of frequencies that only they are allowed to use, so they don't actually need a 'licence' as such.
    Any set of walkie-talkies should be automatically set to access the free Citizen Bands (those 40 channels in the UHF range), but you'll need a more expensive and advanced handset to access the licensed frequencies.

    3:02 That ute should have given way to the pedestrians, their light had only just changed. While they were still going across. It would be the same rule as turning left. You have the same rules as us here in New Zealand, when it comes to turning traffic.

      I think they may have gone under the wheels, it looks like the ute went over them. But I do hope that the cammer did pull over, then the police have the correct version of what happened. Because theres so many people that lie.

      Caravan was stopped ahead, they should have stopped as opposed to changing lanes without knowing if it was clear or not. 100% cammers fault!

    • @SurgeDashcam
      @SurgeDashcam 11 месяцев назад +6

      @@Karmondmaybe they shouldn't have changed lanes then if they'ed have to hit the brakes whilst doing so. That action significantly reduced the braking distance of the Hyundai and even more so the ute behind (who isn't without fault may I add).
      It doesn't take a genius to figure out that changing lanes in front of moving traffic and then braking isn't going to end well.

      Probably should have just moved into the left lane instead of driving with an ego. They could have avoided the whole accident. I agree the van should not have undertaken, that's far more dangerous. But, if you're in the RH lane and the car behind is going faster, move over. Main rule of the road is keep left unless overtaking.

      @@weetbix08 The driver _was_ overtaking. The only person with the out of control ego is the van who thinks he owns the road. The whole accident could have been avoided by the van having some patience, not tailgating, and not attempting to undertake a car without the space to do so. That accident was _100%_ on the van driver.

    • @weetbix08
      @weetbix08 7 месяцев назад

      @anon4854 the Ute clearly accelerates when the van pulls into the left lane... and he easily could have pulled in behind the 4x4, let the van pass and then continued in the RH lane. The right hand lane isn't for patience, it's for overtaking and if a person is coming up behind that is going faster, it is the law for you to move into the left lane. Not doing so, because you think you're going fast enough and the other person should be patient is the very definition of driving with an ego.

    • @anon4854
      @anon4854 7 месяцев назад

      @@weetbix08 Even if that was true, and it isnt, ultimately the van is the one who made an unsafe maneuver. There wasnt even close to enough space to merge in front of the ute and he paid for it. The whole incident could have been avoided if the van driver could get over themselves. Look at the road ahead? How far was he going to get before they had to slow down anyway? A couple hundred meters? And for that they cause an accident? That is _100%_ ego right there.
      The right hand lane is for overtaking. Which is what the ute was doing. They were overtaking the red car behind them and at least the Mitsubishi in front of them.
      "if a person is coming up behind that is going faster, it is the law for you to move into the left lane"
      Uh, gonna need a source on that one chief because the rules are you use the right hand lane when overtaking and the ute was overtaking. It had recently overtaken the red car and was in the process of overtaking the Mitsubishi. Never heard of a law that states you have to vacate the right hand lane _while using it for its intended purpose_ just because someone else wants to go faster.
      "because you think you're going fast enough"
      Never made that argument. My point is the cam driver was overtaking. Which is the purpose for the right hand lane. The van is the one who broke the law and caused an accident. All becasue he couldnt muster up a little bit of patience. What is that if not ego?
