There are like 3 or 4 moons I'll never do. Unless there are easier ways to do them. I dropped this game forever ago but decided to come back to get all the moons but forgot about the moons that drove me insane so i gave up again.
I just made it through breakdown road. And because I didn't want to risk that anything stupid happening I decided to go away to side to not get hit by that bullet bill and wait until it destroys the wall. Turns out they aim at Mario :'(
To save people some time: you can watch all the art hints on Dark side of the moon and then just go to all of the different kingdoms and get the moons. You don't have to come back to the Dark side of the moon everytime you collect an art hint moon in another kingdom.
Anyone know if you could get those ones a new game first time in those kindoms. almost like trying to 100% each first through even though you cant activate the cubes
OMG, I just made it through breakdown road. Turns out they aim at Mario :'( I really want to burn this gamecard now and throw my switch into the trash. I tried for hours and wasted like a thousand coins.
The exact same thing happened to me, after having tried like 150 times. When I finally reached the end, I slightly went to the side, but the bullet bill followed me instead of breaking the wall. I was so pissed. I just didn't want to have to try 150 more times to make it through breakdown road again. So I calmed myself down, gave it another shot right after that missed opportunity, and was able to reach the end again and finally got the moon.
k. e. That one only took me a few tries. I had to use rolling in the first part, for the second part I had to long jump then triple jump, long jump again and roll. For the third part I had to roll and then take the shortcut and do triple jumps and long jumps
Honestly the first broodal gave me quite alot of trouble the second was easy and the rest were throughout the boss blitz. Though the darker side... Lmao never again😶
for those needing help with the broodal fights beyond obvious practicing. Get a heart power up, free one hidden above the block in the crater below the shop hut on the regular moon area so save your 50 coins. dump all your coins into moons / costume items prior to doing these levels so you don’t waste progress/ time, after each of the 4 broodal fights you can warp back to the odyssey for hot chocolate/ tea regain hp to 6, you spend some more time but you get more time to figure out the later stage bosses, this helped alot with the final one take 5 hits versus 2 the measly heart they leave on the way to 5 is a joke. i try to figure things out myself or get a clue where i should look / start a level fight a boss than cheat myself of figuring as much as possible. some of these levels are pure fundamentals, have you learned the fundamentals and advanced moves can you execute them in series under pressure. the thing i dislike with all these full on “git gud challenges” is you spend so much time repeating early to mid stuff to even get a crack to figure what the end parts are, darker side is that, after the bird bit i blew though the rest in one try. The other is am i approaching this in an effective way and is just trying shit going to work, guides like the vanishing road second segment show exactly the approach that must be taken if you want to make the time. not a fan of these but the knowing is coupled with the execution so that is that. going for full completion but as me and my son reach the very end after setting the game aside for almost a year there are some obnoxious ass time waster moons. 100 skip ropes blink and fail for instance, volleyball as well is pure hot garbage. lastly i have to laugh guy at the bank said he didn’t want to get odyssey because he heard it is short. like bro me and my son have over 170hours on odyssey and 270 on zelda, intentionally leaving stuff till release announce of sequels. the people that finished it in 15-20 saw less than 40% of the games for christ sake and are hack players in terms of skills. you need to put the time in, my son is good but i’m always amazing him with stuff i doin odyssey and i tell him it takes time to master the skills and stay calm, zelda is like this too despite power creeping to demi god status, this is a case i want a direct bigger sequel for mario no dlc points to this being the case. *great video if you read this, nice job all in one spot to skim and skip for what you need a tip on.

It took me 5 hours just to get that star, bullet bill kept killing me and was getting in the way I could hardly see where I was going. thank goodness I finally got that moon.wish I had a pro controller 🎮
in order to find the location of the "hidden moons" you first need to check the art pieces to iniatiate the moons to appear when you groundpound. EVERY walkthrough i find, fails to point out where all the art is on the dark side of the moon. Its super fucking frustrating because im missing one.

Tip for breakdown road: I found it so much easier to do by doing a small jump then a dive to the next block instead of long jumping. Or by doing a big jump and then, as mario is in front of the block midair, dive. Long jumping feels so much messier and clumsier.
I have failed more times on breakdown road than FUCKING DARKER SIDE, WHO THOUGH IT WAS GOOD DESIGN TO MAKE YOU DO SO MANY LONG JUMPS WHEN THEY NEVER REGISTER I have just finished it, I felt no relief, I felt no satisfaction, it literally brought me to tears, but now I have a tip for anyone somehow still not finished this in 2023, press both the buttons as quickly as possible and MAKE SURE you press the trigger ever so slightly before B, and also make sure you’re at the very edge of every block when you jump.

@@majesticeagle5461 That is not why, it’s because it’s genuinely easy for me but I realize it’s not for everyone and so did struggle on some other moons a lot more. For example, the piranha plant one with the goo without cappy. I had to do it like 20 times.
quick little tip to do the paintings faster, if you interact with all the paintings first you can just go from world to world instead of going back and forth
It took me so many tries to beat the broodals in dark side. There isn't a checkpoint when u beat a broodal. When i died to the final boss in dark side, I had to defeat them all again.
I went 1-6 and was horrified that all the moons might be that difficult. But i found that yoshi levels are much easier, and after that they were all art hints. thank God for that
It took me a few tries to beat the broodals because they don’t give you additional health. I wanted to beat the darker side but I didn’t know how many sections there were so I found this video and let’s just say I’m not gonna do it😂 I would if there were check points but once you have to restart the whole thing and I don’t have that kind of patience😂

I know that some of these challenges are really hard, I 100% the game once and I really struggled with dark and darker side but now I wanna 100% the game again and these challenges are suddenly super easy
This world makes the volleyball and jump rope look like child's play. It took me over 100 tries just to do breakdown road. I'm hoping that was the hardest 😅
Vanishing Road just keep trying you will get it Invisible Road, look up speed run of it, it helped me, you basically jump straight through instead of going around (like shown in other videos) then kill giant plant monsters
OH MY GOD! Breakdown Road final Challenge is BY FAR the hardest moon in the game. I raged like a hundred times and died a hundred more. Then, I finally got it, but for some stupid reason the bullet bill didn’t break the final boxes, I had to REDO it. I FINALLY got it, and I have never felt so happy in my life.
Honestly the first moon is super annoying, not only cuz you have to consistently beat 5 bosses WITHOUT CHECKPOINTS, AND NO WAY OF HEALING, but because of tophat broodal's GODDAMN THIRD PHASE. I dont know how you beat that monstrosity of stacked tophats that easily.
My camera isn't working on my switch and I'm not spending hours trying to find these stupid art stars. Thank you for making it simple & saving me hours of fustration 👍

Little tip for invisible road. Go and buy a heart that gives you an extra 3 hearts, so you have 6 in total. Then go in and try it since most people wont start in the middle like he did, you will make it through better with additional hearts in case you get hit with the purple toxic slim, got the star with two hearts remaining, so i lost 4.
There's a hidden heart in one of the vegetable shaped rocks near the lamppost, you just have to throw Cappy at the stem and hold down until it appears.
Which is the superior hardest in this kingdom? Moon #8: Metro 81, but a lot harder. No scooter, roads disappear faster. Moon #4: Moon #3 but you need to spam ZR or ZL while holding B while going.. or you could just do a cheat :)
The amount of times I wanted to pull my hair out on Vanishing Road because, either Mario would miss the P Button, Ground Pound, or something other than what I wanted to do

Tip for breakdown road: I found it so much easier to do by doing a small jump then a dive to the next block instead of long jumping. Or by doing a big jump and then, as mario is in front of the block midair, dive. Long jumping feels so much messier and clumsier.

I have failed more times on breakdown road than FUCKING DARKER SIDE, WHO THOUGH IT WAS GOOD DESIGN TO MAKE YOU DO SO MANY LONG JUMPS WHEN THEY NEVER REGISTER
I have just finished it, I felt no relief, I felt no satisfaction, it literally brought me to tears, but now I have a tip for anyone somehow still not finished this in 2023, press both the buttons as quickly as possible and MAKE SURE you press the trigger ever so slightly before B, and also make sure you’re at the very edge of every block when you jump.
You can literally just stay holding R and press b as soon as you land as long as you don’t stop running. I did it on my second try, it’s very easy.

@@majesticeagle5461 That is not why, it’s because it’s genuinely easy for me but I realize it’s not for everyone and so did struggle on some other moons a lot more. For example, the piranha plant one with the goo without cappy. I had to do it like 20 times.

quick little tip to do the paintings faster, if you interact with all the paintings first you can just go from world to world instead of going back and forth
It took me so many tries to beat the broodals in dark side. There isn't a checkpoint when u beat a broodal. When i died to the final boss in dark side, I had to defeat them all again.
I went 1-6 and was horrified that all the moons might be that difficult. But i found that yoshi levels are much easier, and after that they were all art hints. thank God for that
I just did the breakdown road yesterday and I spent over an hour and 120 tries before I finally got it. What a nightmare.

It took me a few tries to beat the broodals because they don’t give you additional health. I wanted to beat the darker side but I didn’t know how many sections there were so I found this video and let’s just say I’m not gonna do it😂 I would if there were check points but once you have to restart the whole thing and I don’t have that kind of patience😂

Been trying to get past the broodals all day and this guy gets it without even breaking a sweat. I just tried to do it this way and already died twice on the first one. I'll just keep trying my way. At least I can get to the last one. Lol

Final beat the two-part Break-Down mission, I had 9999 coins, and now I'm down to 9272 coins! That alone just shows how hard this is.

I know that some of these challenges are really hard, I 100% the game once and I really struggled with dark and darker side but now I wanna 100% the game again and these challenges are suddenly super easy

This world makes the volleyball and jump rope look like child's play. It took me over 100 tries just to do breakdown road. I'm hoping that was the hardest 😅

Vanishing Road just keep trying you will get it
Invisible Road, look up speed run of it, it helped me, you basically jump straight through instead of going around (like shown in other videos)

OH MY GOD! Breakdown Road final Challenge is BY FAR the hardest moon in the game. I raged like a hundred times and died a hundred more. Then, I finally got it, but for some stupid reason the bullet bill didn’t break the final boxes, I had to REDO it. I FINALLY got it, and I have never felt so happy in my life.
Kinda hard I admit but by far not the hardest one even hurry was harder for me

Honestly the first moon is super annoying, not only cuz you have to consistently beat 5 bosses WITHOUT CHECKPOINTS, AND NO WAY OF HEALING, but because of tophat broodal's GODDAMN THIRD PHASE. I dont know how you beat that monstrosity of stacked tophats that easily.

All of yall comparing about how much breakdown road sucks, but i would like to clarify that the vanishing road is the hardiest
Little tip for invisible road. Go and buy a heart that gives you an extra 3 hearts, so you have 6 in total. Then go in and try it since most people wont start in the middle like he did, you will make it through better with additional hearts in case you get hit with the purple toxic slim, got the star with two hearts remaining, so i lost 4.
There's a hidden heart in one of the vegetable shaped rocks near the lamppost, you just have to throw Cappy at the stem and hold down until it appears.
With assist mode... you get 9 hearts.
The break Down moon took me 4 days to get and it was very hard

Moon #8: Metro 81, but a lot harder. No scooter, roads disappear faster.
Moon #4: Moon #3 but you need to spam ZR or ZL while holding B while going.. or you could just do a cheat :)
The amount of times I wanted to pull my hair out on Vanishing Road because, either Mario would miss the P Button, Ground Pound, or something other than what I wanted to do
