Fabric Cafe three-yard patterns are so easy! I lead a group of stitchers, male and female, at my church, who use these patterns to make quick charity quilts. They work out perfectly for us. Thank you for sharing your own experience with Fabric Cafe.
I LOVE this! It turned out so beautiful and your charming husband picked the fabrics I was hoping for🙂I follow Fabric Cafe and have been planning to try a 3 yard quilt. This has really encouraged me to get started!
Three things struck me about today's tutorial: You solved a Christmas gift dilemma just in time, your husband is so calm and the music you chose is fabulous! 👍
I do love the color selection. I've done two 3 yard quilts so far. It took me a time to understand the subsets, quilt assembly instructions but I am a beginner so it takes me awhile😊. Beautiful quilt!
I have several of Fabric Cafe's pattern books and have made several patterns. I usually make twin/full/KingQueen. For the full size I use 3 yards each of 3 fabrics. I make twin sized quilts for our local chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. I love that metallic blue fabric!
It's so pretty Karen. Love the fabric that you chose. I have made one of there 3 yard quilts. Well it's not finished yet but it will be soon. I am finishing up my first king size quilt for a friend. Thanks I just love watching you. Thanks for all you do.
Love your Christmas quilt and the fabrics you chose. I have many 3yd quilt books by Fabric Cafe and never would have thought to make that pattern with Christmas fabric. You've opened my eyes to many possibilities! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas & and a Blessed New Year!
I wouldn’t have chosen the blue fabric either. It would have competed with the focus fabric you had already chosen. ❤ I’ve made a lot of the three yard patterns except most of the time I’ve made them in Queen & King sizes. They are so easy to enlarge. In fact I just made this exact pattern in a King size. You did an awesome job on your quilt. I think you will be hooked after making one! ❤
I have made several 3 yard quilts. Love doing them. Yours came out beautiful. I try not to use directional fabrics unless it's the big blocks. I still have a problem picking out fabrics.
This is gorgeous, but what did you do and is not gorgeous ? All quilts you do are vibrant, and show your artistic talent, passion, and skill. Merry Christmas to your entire family 🎄❤️🎄
Your Quilt turned out beautiful. I'm a beginner quilter myself and the very first quilt I made was from one of the 3yd quilt patterns of Fabric Cafe. I believe the name of the pattern was Roman Holiday and I was really proud of the outcome. I gifted it to one of my longtime friends at Christmas that year and she was so thankful for it. Sadly, that is the only quilt I have completed. I have become a fabric "hoarder" some might say. So many totes of fabric everywhere, but I can't seem to get the "push" I need to get inspired and get to sewing. Any advice you can send my way? Have a great day!!

Hi. I have made two of the Fabric Café quilts. I like, that the instructions are so clear, and Well illustrated 🙂👍🏻. Love your focus fabric 🥰,but havn’t seen it for sale here in Danmark. I envy your skills in quilting 😍
How do you keep red dyed fabrics from bleeding into the white? I pre wash, but once got a purple that I washed several times and kept shedding dye. Do you add a fixative to the wash?
I always use several sheets of a color catcher which can be found in the laundry soap section. Amazingly catches the red and none bleeds onto the other fabrics when washing.
