Great review man, I actually don’t think this is overpriced people need to look at the competition that’s a big slab of 3v made in the USA with an included quality Kydex sheath, that paired with a no worries no questions asked lifetime warranty i think the price is pretty spot on personally.
I agree, you look at the competition and it’s the going rate really. That said I think the Reiff is a step ahead of the competition for sure. Thanks for watching
Agree and it’s 100% made and manufactured in the states. We are at war with china and people don’t see. But china is taking all the jobs. Anyways to support small usa companies, and this is a great knife!
I have the F4 and have been blown away by it! I got it on killer deal from DLT! I tried to tell myself it was the last knife I would buy….. But it’s only made me want the F6 that much more 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
I don’t make knives or buy steel to make knives & other materials so I have no idea if the $384 price is “twice what it should cost”. Comparatively it’s a reasonable price to other US made knives of similar size & materials. Just ordered their F4 model but got it with the JRE leather dangler sheath for the reason you cited about the attachment setup on their kydex. It can likely be swapped for a different style but all that plastic makes it ride further from my side which is why I prefer the simplicity of leather. The more it protrudes, the more likely it is to catch on something.
I have considered doing leather for mine. If I do another one like the F4 I probably would do leather sheath. It’s pricey for sure but the quality it top notch and compared to other American/Euro knives in a similar steel it’s fairly priced
I really like my F6 and I think the quality is amazing. That said I do think it’s a bit overpriced. All that said a small shop producing this is always going to be more expensive than some huge factory
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors So what if trump waves one of these around to scare adrenochrome out of toddlers (and probably Ivanka to this day), we gotta support him so he can sell us out again. The trick to me seems to be to leather strop it regularly which I do to all my knives. I’m sure it is harder to sharpen that said it does stay sharp for a long time and with regular maintenance it stays there
???? Have you ever even used or sharpened 3V? I have never understood people who say this about 3V. Most of my blades are in 3V & the Ken onion field sharpener has no issue with it whatsoever. Neither does a dmt folding stone. I have even used a ceramic rod to touch up the edge. You can absolutely field sharpen 3V & if you can't then your sharpening skill must be very poor indeed.
@@sgtfatrod8901 I would have to agree, I maintain my blades so they don’t need sharpening much however I haven’t found anything I couldn’t sharpen with my worksharp field sharpener
That’s your opinion, almost any American mad knife in cpm3v is gonna be fairly same price range and this one has amazing fit and finish and a quality much higher than normally seen

I just ordered the OD green 6 yesterday for a retirement present to myself.
You’ll be impressed I’m sure
Love the design on this one
I do too, it’s a nice blade in hand and very comfortable
Yes, 3V is nice. BUT, $385 is TWICE what it should cost.

Good looking knife man!
Thank you, I think it looks awesome
How are you liking this knife now almost 6 months from this video?
I still like it and carry it regularly into the woods. I’d say easily it’s in my top 3 favorites of all time
Reiff knives are nice, but honestly man,
I think they are a way overpriced given the other quality knives available in the same size and steels.

I wonder if they’ll make a Ultra MAGA King Trump edition of this knife? I’d spend a extra $500 if they did
Well I hate baby boomer billionaire pedophiles, that includes both Ds and Rs and he’s an Epstein acolyte just like Biden

It would be made in China.
Don't push your luck and remember 3v steel is breakable. The price is overpriced
3v steel is amazing. All steels can be breakable. But 3v can take alot of beating.
Pronounced: "Reiff" as in Coral "Reef"!
You like that cpm 3v until it comes time to sharpen it. Not a steel you can sharpen in the field.
