Two 1000+ point players who’ve won hart trophies and Olympic gold medals while consistently being near the top of the scoring races and leading their team to multiple presidents trophy’s and a stanly cup final, would by almost any metric be called great players.
@@jamiereid7428 that’s nice. They still never won a cup which I hold against them less than most & it took them 1300 games to get 1000 points. That’s a really good career. It’s not hall of fame worthy. Without the twin thing, they’re not hall of famers. Look at guys like roenick or turgeon, they had better careers than the sedin’s but they didn’t have an equally talented twin so they’re excluded from the hall of fame. That’s what the sedin’s being inducted says.

Clearly the hall of fame isn’t about true greatness anymore. It’s very clearly become the hall of very good or the hall of popularity.
