Having done 100s of km in both, the Alfa beguiled with its Italian looks and instant torque but was skittish and unpredictable due to odd suspension kinematics combined with unpredictable boost. The Lotus is just a pure, sorted sportscar - no buts or exceptions, the car literally disappears around you when you drive it. Sorry Alfa.
Our 4c has had the suspension modifications to help solve some of the issues but it’s still a handful. Can’t imagine what they are like standard! Ed is loving his Exige! You can’t get more of a pure driving experience
Drove both before buying an Alpine A110 which i felt was a better all round car than the Alfa, and the Lotus, the Alfa is stunningly beautiful, having owned a Lotus before, the unreliability and build quality put me off, despite assurances they no longer have quality issues.

@ Ours had all the suspension mods too. Some improvement but replaced with Exige that’s just a class act. Never looked back.
Did you replace with an s2 or s3 out of interest? I think an s3 might tempt me out of the 4c!

Very different cars ! Would say the Exige is more extreme and the 4C more characterful, Italian and also cheaper to run!

Exige S3 is streets ahead of 4C in performance terms; it’s a raw beast & is far more super car in performance. 4C is more A110 than Exige.
