    Thank you for reminding what good was in Ashoka, this episode was the last I endured

    Man, I know this has nothing to do with this video, but I just love ur ,,Andor is a masterpiece from1978´´ Video. It is in my oppinion the best Video essay on RUclips. Not just that but i also connect so many things with it, I dont know how to put this justice, but I just wanted to tell you that I love you and your Videos. They always tell my brain to slow down and just listen. For example, the Andor video I mantioned I have watched probably 70 times... I rewatched the video over and over again before going to sleep because your use of words is just brilliant. The music in the background is perfect for the type of video and everything about it makes me want to rewatch it again and again. I know all the lines by rote and cant get the following line out of my head: ,,It is much easier to describe and breakdown art when it lacks the brushtrokes that make it such´´. I dont know how to end this massage, but thats all. I know that somethings I said may sound weird, but for me your videos and the Andor one in particular are just remarkabel and unforgettable. Sry that my grammar isnt the best, im from germany. Keep on making great videos and please dont change your style! Love Noah!

      Thank you very much for the kind words - I'm happy to hear the video continues to resonate with more viewers. It means I did my job! I really appreciate the kind words, thank you and I hope I can make another video like that review. Also I was just in Germany a few weeks ago! Loved it there, cheers!

    An excellent series thus far. Baylan was shaking in his boots while confronting Ashoka.
    Looking forward to your take on Thrawn and his lack of ships. Keep up the great work!

    Great video!
    The music in the background…is that a nod to Justin from Eckhartsladder? 🤔🙂

    Her name is pronounced Hottie. Literally. Her and Baylan’s surnames are based on the Norse wolves Sköll and Hati that chase the sun and moon

      Oh thats good to know! I knew about their Norse-mythology connections but the pronunciation eluded me, thank you for the clarification!

    As enjoyable it was for me, Ahsoka hasn't been getting the viewerships of Mando and Boba fett. Imagine if Bokatan didn't piggy back behind Mando for her comeback, Bo's show would have been cancelled.

    Never has a show both bored and intrigued me to this extent. The overall story is interesting, but much of the acting and duels are meh. Shin should have killed Sabine multiple times over by now, the fact Sabine has survived TWO duels with her is a joke. Shin is actively fighting and training, Sabine had to pull ALL her equipment out of the closet and seems to have not been active recently. Also, I never understood why people stab with a lightsaber and then pull straight out. If Shin had stabbed and then slashed instead of pulling out, Sabine would have been dead. I don't understand the hype around Shin.

    Cool dogfight. Interesting protagonists. Beautiful set designs - almost like paintings. However all of this can't disguise another dull Star Wars series ("Andor" being an acception).

    I'm sorry, but I couldn't get past Ashoka doing flips on the ship in space and cutting down enemies.

    Sorry, this episode was not excellent. While the dogfight certainly attempted to recreate the excitement of the Episode IV escape from the Death Star, it fell way short. There is absolutely zero urgency at any moment in the episode from ANY of the characters. The show consistently lacks any sense of peril and therefore just feels like we are walking slowly from plot point A to plot point B so that the actors can deliver the next exposition in stilted sentences with long pauses.
    Maybe if Andor didn't exist I might give it more of a pass, but Ahsoka is only just above the Book of Boba Fett for me.

      I do agree the acting and writing has been very stiff for the most part (outside of Baylan and Shin), but idk I found the small stuff in here to be enjoyable! I think the plot is not being serviced as well as it could be - it could use some cleaning up and trimming but for me it's been a more enjoyable experience than Boba Fett and Kenobi already. Nothing will touch Andor tbh but I hope the ending of this show can give it the weight it's reaching for

    • @Rocco1332
      @Rocco1332 Год назад

      @SpacemanSR I agree it's more enjoyable than Kenobi and Fett (not a terribly high bar to be honest), but what really kills me and takes me out of the moment is that most of the "bad elements" are basic aspect that really show where the director was really lacking. The blocking and (lack of) dynamics during conversation scenes was what I saw in the end of year showcases from my film classes. Also, why does EVERY duel start like a Soul Caliber level? So easy to make fluid starts. When Ahsoka is chasing the ship at the dock have her try to jump on it and get forced pushed away to start or something

    The dogfight where lasers don't harm an unshielded hull and are deflected by a lightsaber with a far smaller diameter. This show sucks and so does Dave Simploni
