    It's a beautiful looking knife it has a real primitive look to it can you tell me what's the best wood to try the bow drill I'm living beside a pine forest in tipperary theres various other trees in the mix as well I know to stay away from hard woods but I'm lost after that so I'd love your opinion on it

      Hi Shane, anything soft is good just steer clear of knots. A rule of thumb is if you can cause an indentation in the wood with your thumbnail
