When asked why the offense always felt late and on the edge of delay penalties every snap he said...he was deliberately having them get to the line late because he prioritized "time of possession" and running the clock down. Do you know how absurd that is? an NFL level OC with an MVP Franchise QB...was prioritizing running clock out OVER prioritizing allowing the QB to make pre-snap reads and make pre-snap adjustments. That is insane. It's not a coincidence that Lamar's level of play took a huge jump when Monken came in and broke the entire offense down and built it back up properly by giving Lamar the keys and ownership of the Offense and letting him do what NFL QBs are supposed to do...get the team in the right call that gives every play the best chance to succeed...instead of the predictable offense we were running when Roman was here.
