I live in a residential home but do keep a few chickens for eggs. I also have homing pigeons which exercise every day. I mention my birds here as I have a soon to be 4 year old GSD who helps herd these birds. When it is time for the chickens to return to the coop after free ranging I need my GSDs help to get them back to the coop or the hens will run off into 4 different directions. But they respect my dog and he is able to move them perfectly. When my pigeons exercise every morning my GSD thinks he has to keep them in the sky when the birds want to come down earlier than they are supposed to. I have nicknamed the pigeons his sky sheep. If one should land too soon my dog quickly points them out to me and barks them back up into the sky. What an amazing boy. We also do Mantrailing and personal Protection work. He is an amazing partner and best buddy. PS we are in South Africa and I really enjoy your show, thank you.😍
