12 yrs old already. Wow. Time slipping by too fast now at mid life. My daughter and I loved this song when she was 11 yrs old. I miss hanging out with her and all the parenting stuff. But I know she must be free to do what she wants and I’ve never been a mom to cling. But inside I could just cry missing all those good times. Another major chapter I loved, done. I guess the other thing is at this age I’ve been losing parents and in-laws and even some friends and peers now, and it’s all just becoming very real. You see, you can remember being young- it was just a second ago. But then all of a sudden age/ ill health creeps up really fast and the reality is that you start losing everything.
