No need to etch Zr. Tooth can be total etch , selective etch or self etch with scotchbond uni. Light cure or not is optional , the only worry if light curing Is the thickness of bonding agent so drying to achieve a thin layer is crucial so crown can seat properly. Light curing can reduce post op sensitivity and achieve higher bond strength . Hope this helps .
@@dr.avinashksajnani7930 but with 3M bond ... no need to cure the light even.... i have been bonding many more emax as well as PFZ or Monolithic Crowns and fpds... plus veneers with same protocol and they are good till the date...
@@dr.jigarpanchal2084 yes it’s an optional step and isn’t necessary but light curing will give you higher bond strengths. This is in terms of curing the bonding agent before application of the adhesive .
@@dr.avinashksajnani7930 true one indeed... but particularly when it comes to 3M bond with 3M cements ... it has worked nicely and constantly.... but still an optional step ... agree with you on that note...
With zirclean and theracem cement from bisco, you don't need these long steps anymore 👍
what is the point of biting on a cotton roll for 1 minute before lightcuring ?
dont need to etch the internal surface of zirconia and tooth surface?
Zirconia cannot be etched or is not effective. I am surprised they use the bonding/adhesive for Zirconia.

Don't we require to etch tooth?
Total etch , selective or self etch technique can be used .
Can you use RelyX unicem instead of ultimate?
i guess... :(
Yes, Unicem has lower bond strengths but will work fine as well as long as the prep is retentive. Happy bonding .
