You definitely need to add essences in your alch & go strat.
Essences are worth a lot this season because they are used a lot for crafting with the new implicits and eldritch currency
You need T14+ maps though for better essences

I do believe as a passive alch and go map start, it's very much so a missed opportunity to not run essences as they net you a lot of free currency without any effort or cost aside from points in the tree. Sold them in bulk the first three weeks for anywhere between 15c/15 to 45c/15 depending on the demand, they sold as soon as they went up pretty much. I didn't count the per map value, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was 2-3c+ on average if not more with all the potential double corrupt essence drops etc.
Did you corrupt them or upgrade them? Or just sold as is?

I've been doing that in ssf and trade, mostly because I'm cheap and can't bother to spend more.
Show us true power of the "Map Bosses" clusters! Possessed double bosses with rogue exile bodyguards and Maven witness or something like that? All the nodes for guardian/conq/synth maps on top.. Are eldritch altar boss drops boosted by the map boss and (assuming possessed boss) torment nodes? I really wonder what the profit would be from trying to make the map boss rooms into loot explosions. It's probably not very good :D

Always wanted to get into POE but never could truly dive into it. Seems like so much more of a rabbit hole than D3. Farthest I've gotten is a level 70 character one league.
There’s definitely an overwhelming amount of game knowledge.
It’s like league of legends, you can only get good through obtaining more and more game knowledge, and mechanics will only get you so far.
Poe is not a game for those without time and patience, cus every league resets so if you aren’t learning something new ur running in circles. Complete burnout

@@2ndcitysaint52 I was only talking about getting into the game, because that’s what he’s talking about. Maybe the context isn’t very clear but he says “never truly dive into it” and for league it’s similar because you have to learn so much what every champ does their abilities the meta all kinds of stuff at first that it can be similarly overwhelming
Pro tip, if you're pathing right side anyway, spend the three points on the node that offers upgraded offerings in trials of ascendancy. You can see if the offering is upgraded before running the trial, and have a 33% chance to drop gift which are current worth 1.4ex each. You're welcome

Yeah the big thing to take away from this is that this could be 1ex an hour ON TOP of whatever you decide to do with your tree.

Most importantly start crafting new or not trained people.
Just get a Stygian Vise, Ametyst Ring ilv 81 or whatever item you need and spec into essences, slap those on your gear.
Easiest way to get started into crafting if u never done this before.
You can farm slowly through selling all raw stuff or just hammer an essence on an get item and get easy 30c up to multiple Ex.

did u try the exile thing in the atlas ? getting 20 corrupted exiles in a map was TONS of loot for me, also the thing that ghosts rares/bosses. "seance / unrelenting toment / exiled will / ruckus"

@@Atreta eh sorry i ment, they get spirited/ghosted or whatever its called. (dont use on hardcore) i had some bosses that became crazy hard like like 3-4 ghosts in it xD
90%quant for all ghosted stuff.
u can probably imagine how much shit 20 ghosted exiles drop with extra 90%quant.

Could you further the experiment by also trying to actually realize the 758 chaos of gains by selling everything you put into the calculator? That way we can get a true c/hr rate.
trading is always inefficient, try to sell them in bulk after hundreds of maps
@@jinthaiya7157 Yes but the conclusions are almost meaningless unless they're in pure C or you actually trade away the items to realize the gains. That's why Grimro's experiments are good and ones like this that just currency track dump tabs are garbage.
It's funny that empy does this sort of thing every single league and yet still gets "I can't make currency Mr streamer" comments every single league xD. You can't get more bare bones than this and it is literally impossible to not make money running a map.
I think a lot of people who "can't make currency" in a league have at least one of these two problems if not both:
1. Lack of understanding of builds, most usually crafting gear and how to approach meaningful upgrades. This leads to builds being weak and unable to do higher tier content with multiple deaths or failing maps. This leads to inefficient spending of whatever currency they have on very marginal upgrades that lead to them having no currency and no improvements on build.
2. Unconscious hoarding. I think exilence is great for telling you how much currency you should have when you liquidate but I think a lot of newer or broke players don't liquidate enough things into currency. Maybe they only liquidate one mechanic if any at all and they're sitting on like 50+ catalysts and going I have no exalts in my currency stash tab.
These are the 2 most common issues I've came across in the "new" players I talk to between 100 and 1000 hours usually. That doesn't mean your experience is the same but I would love to hear what you think might be the issue for some of them
@@krazzed3243 yo, this is me 1176 hours, never did red maps until today. never been able to do them, got a lucky drop of 16 EX at the first week of the league, followed a budget built, can't do anything higher than tier 13 maps with +90% quant.
@@krazzed3243 it's most likely your second point, because i feel like it's impossible to not make profit in a map if you include all the non-currency things you drop. i just finished grinding to level 100 yesterday and the last thing i did was to run 200 t16 frozen cabins and strand maps for the endgame grinds challenge, 4 sextants, scoured, without chisel, but with a couple cheap scarabs to get experience quicker. the only mechanics i did were betrayal, archnemesis (no recipes, just random shit thrown in), legion, breach, harbinger and abyss (as long as it was on the way), and while i only made 7 ex in pure drops (shards included) and a couple hundred chaos and fusings, the breach stones tab alone was worth more than 10 ex in the end. just selling the good sextant mods like harvest and delirium was already enough to cover the cost of maps and scarabs. selling all the things from the different league mechanics is a nightmare, but if more people would do it they'd surely have no problems with generating meaningful levels of currency quite quickly. especially now that we are able to just specc our tree into our favorite league mechanics and farm those without breaks.
@@iRemilia oh that leads me to another thought relating to point 2 that leads to less profitability. A lot of mechanics or bulk sales are substantially easier with tft but I know way more people in that range who refuse to use or learn tft. Like trying to sell that breach tab or essence tabs without tft is such a hassle when you could sell so much faster and with a better price with tft. So I guess yeah between not selling things and refusing to use 3rd party tools to make it easier for themselves that definitely hinders total currency.
@@jammer1993 If you want somebody to review what you got I can take a look when I'm off vacation and have access to a computer again. Obviously I'm not as great as others at builds or lots of other aspects of the game but I can try and help.

For once, I see a passive tree that is not full BS. It's all about the quant and map modifiers nodes, the pathing is ok and it is reasonnable, far from perfect and missing 50 points but if you are clueless by all means start lik that next league. :) (I personally path toward small nodes to rush map modifiers, then take middle wheel map nodes (fortune favor the brave mod) and last league I leveled very early map were expensive so I took all the map modifiers nodes before getting shaper map drops etc. I experimented with boss, exiles and torment nodes but carefull it makes the map particulary rippy if you have an average build(got rekt by a multiple possessed boss several times, the burial boss for example is insan with 4-5 ghosts in a juiced map xd).
When you said 50 map for an ex is ok, i was thinking this is way above average and at the exact same time i dropped 4 ex (2 x 2 dupplicated by altars) that's the karma we like lol

Why alch&go if you can instead do white map with rush the boss? Works pretty good as well with Eater of Worlds nodes on the Atlas passive tree.
You just head to the boss, get any altars you find along the way prioritizing increasing loot from the map boss kill and do league mechanics you find.

You found an ex with half a tree, just using alchemy orbs and no real juicing, and I've been farming multiple maps with scarabs chisels map Quant on the tree and running maps with 130+% Quant just on the maps and haven't seen a single exalt orb drop at all.
because you dont farm exalts in this game, i have farmed days on days of content, 130 ex in stash profit atm and havent seen a raw ex drop since i started farming. you trade other valuable things for an ex.
@@SkritchB yes, I know that, that's how I've managed to get the currency I have. It's also complete shit how I've farmed so many maps with so much juice and haven't seen any drops at all when streamers blink and get ex drops. The exalts have to drop for people to trade currency to get them

@@h0lykn1gt75 yeah, I run all the harbinger passives, harbinger scarabs, and I run harbinger on the map device every map. I've only seen 13 exalted shard drops this league. My rng is complete shit

Empy, the draw of Winter Orb occultist is not the explode, because it kills your chains. People play occultists for other reasons and most don't even take Profane Bloom.
