This song is just perfection to be honest. The vocals are just so emotive and beautiful, I really love the addition of the Latvian language in the ending, the outro is so beautiful, the instrumental is just so wacky and out of the ordinary, the melody is really amazing and actually kinda catchy to be honest, the way the song progresses is just so unique, the intro is very captivating and starts the song off perfectly, I love the lyrics and the lyrical theme of the song (it is based on a lullaby that also subconsciously references the current events), I love the arrangement of the song, I love the mixes of different time signatures (5/4 verses to a 4/4 chorus), I love how the different parts of the song progress so contrastingly from each part within the structure, I love the overall look and feel of the band, they gelled really well on stage together, the staging is captivating and perfect, the vocals were perfectly performed and overall the song is a package that is hard to ignore. It is just so captivating in every way, it is just ART in every sense of the word. This is so quirky and out of the box in a good way. But what can you expect from Latvia though, they often send experimental stuff like this but in using that word it is not often for me or my style but for some reason this song has just struck a chord so deep within me that made fall in love with it from first listen. I just have alway have had a special place in my heart and mind for this entry, it was always my winner of Supernova. What can I say, I am over the moon that this is actually their entry. I am so rooting for them to finally break Latvia’s NQ streak but I know it is sorta a long shot but if they play their cards right they have a good chance I think. And I do actually really like their other music as well, their music is actually very good surprisingly so because this is not my typical style of music at all. It is easily a 10/10 for me and it is my fave of Eurovision so far and it is my fave of all the Latvian entries ever. I am so glad that you are appreciating this song, it is amazing, actually perfect. It is so underrated by the fandom.

From the countries that selected their songs last night, this one is my favourite. The melody in the chorus gives me goosebumps every time. Latvia chose well 👏🏻

Hi! Latvian here, it's a lullaby :) "aijā" means "to cradle", and as I understand it was written as a reaction to last year's horrible events in Europe. I wish this song had more lines in Latvian.

This is my favorite right now! It’s the perfect mix of messiness but also… I don’t know, but it’s SO GOOD! It’s emotional and it hits hard and the lyrics are so meaningful, even if you don’t understand what they’re about! Love the alternative rock vibes too, and how chill, but also somewhat panicked it is, AAAAH IT’S SO GOOD!!!

Pretty cool entry musically 😎 and what I read about the lyrics in other comments it has a very deep and truthful contemporary meaning too. I’m looking forward to see it on the Eurovision stage 😊

Sure, I can explain about song, but You can also check, what performers themselves are saying about this song. What I grasped is that, this song shows really well how people in Latvia are feeling now. The song is not only lullaby, but it tels also about struggles of persons and about perseverance, it tels how important is person to person contact. It also tels about all the crazy things happening in world and in our own society, that it's better not to wake up, and jet there still there light. As this song conveys emotions and feelings of the whole nation, in sidelines it tels also about how much dejected and left alone we are feeling. But it's my interpretation. In song's official video, some of this is expressed better.

The song/music/melody/tragedy is about the war - how they feel out there. The moves on stage etc. There is no sleep but they want it - Aijā. (The song is realy deep).

Someone like Patrisha or Raum were a lot more Eurovision-y, so I’m glad we decided to send something different & i love the song, just not sure if this will break Latvias NQ curse :)
