    2:10 why is the second one called benzoyl chloride and not phenoyl chloride? I thought a benzene ring is called phenyl when it's missing a hydrogen

      @@rabea.1643 No it is called benzoyl chloride because it doesn't contain a OH group
      so unless u have an OH group
      call it a phenoyl chloride

    Hi James. Can i please just get this straight? How is an acyl group different to a carbonyl group?

      An acycl group has C=O CL whilst a carbonyl group only has C=O

      Not sure if it will be helpful after 3 years, but acyl chloride has a chlorine group instead of a OH group.
