Love these big 70's cars. Haven't been in one in years but as I remember it as a kid you would gently floaaaaat over the bumps. More classics please , Autohause. Love this one.
I used to know a guy in Sacramento California that had one, his late Aunt and Uncle ordered it from a Cadillac Dealer in Michigan , he inherited it by the mid late 80's, these were contracted by Cadillac, not some chop shop convertible , cut from a Coupe DeVille, these are great cars, last of the larger engines in Cadillacs
I love the interior Color Selections they had in Leather back then. Possibly over 6 different choices besides black, which really "decorated" the Cadillacs. Today, black is the norm & you're lucky if they offer ONE alternative?
Maryann-I'm interested in purchasing this car as I collect older Cadillacs. Is it still available? I live about 60 miles from Naples. You said it turnedover and fired up quickly. Which is great.
In 1979 I remember seeing a red one like this in a Caddy showroom. The sticker was $45,000 when it was new. My father owned a limo service, I saw it in the showroom when we picked up the limos. it cost more than the 2 limos he bought that day combined.
I understand the turnover process-starter to flywheel to crankshaft process and then it fires up. My turnover process seems to be long. I have to pump it and hold the gas pedal to the floor otherwise it doesn't fire up. Is this what you are referring to as turning over.
It's a '79 so it has the carbureted 7.0 liter, so yes you need to give it gas to start it when cold. The DeVilles didn't get fuel injection until the '81 4100s. Or what most people would say, when they got the 800 pound paper weight.
@Willian Dennberg I have never believed in pumping the accelerator before turning the key. My 1973 and 1978 Cadillacs I only pressed the accelerator down once before turning the key. A mechanic once blew up the muffler, because he pumped the accelerator in my 1973 Cadillac, before turning the key. My 1975 Mercury Montego MX with a 351 cui and my 1976 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 400 cui engine were the same. Only once. My 1975 Continental Mark IV is a little different. If you just as much as consider pressing the accellerator down more than once, the car won't start untill next day. It is the car I have had (still have) which cranks the longest, when it is cold, but it DOES start. When it is warm, you touch the accellerator slightly, when you turn the key. Pretty much like he sun visor instructions. We have friends, who drive a Continental Mark V with a 400 cui engine. It is the same. I have had a 1975 Gran Torino Brougham with a Windsor 351 engine, which was equally sensitive.
It is very dependent on condition and market. These cars are priced significantly over what you'd get as a private seller, but they are the nicest I've ever seen too. You have to remember they are an established dealer and have customers you don't. I'm a car flipper and that infomation is in general but Cadillacs often sit for a lot longer than other cars so don't get discouraged.
I'm surprised at the poor quality fit of the installed top boot cover. Why's it sticking up in two odd places, seen from behind? Looks cheaply crafted.
It's a 1979, not a 1978. The 78's had different grill, different plastic wood dash, different power window and lock buttons, different seat design, and different tail lights. What is wrong about this car, that is not a 1979 steering wheel, more like a 1981 or newer.
Very seldom do I comment. Getting some big-titted blonde who ends every sentence with question inflection is not a good idea. I love the car. I could go all day without listening to that annoying woman. I feel sorry for the poor guy that ends up with her, and am happy for the man that ends up with this car.

MaryAnn AutoHaus sounds good. I'll make sure I have my phone on me at all times with volume on 10 so I know the moment the notification comes though ☺
Yah my pops had a 62 caddy and when he hit a bump I would bang my head on the seat speaker in model of back seat head rest lol
thanks mary ann for your presentations❣️

Hess and Eisenhardt made the '59 Cadillac Series 62 Ambulance that was used in the movie Ghostbusters as ECTO-1.
Now that's a car great job on showing a classic
perfect car to cruise and beat the miserable muggy florida morning heat ;3

Stop by the dealership and pick one out anytime :)
Nice Cadillac car
Your outfit is perfectly color coordinated with the car. Nice.
Yup I have an OG window sticker from mines 29k & some change back in 79 … big money
How much was this car when it was listed? What did it sell for? I gotta give you props for the perfect match to the car with the dress and shoes!

What is the secret behind the survival of cars on their original....thenk you mary
She's a beauty. Both yall
The car is beautiful, she is beautiful, but as soon as she started talking I miss Bill.
I don't miss him. I hope he got his own RUclips Talk & Ramble Show
How much you asking for it?
She’s beautiful 😎
my neighbor bought one for $26,900, but there is always some work to do.
Since this is an older car, does it take a while to start and crank? Do you have to give it gas to start it?
I have a 78 DeVille. I have to give it a few pumps to start otherwise it just cranks and won't turnover.

Hi Mary-Ann, long time no speak...Amazing car but don't drive so fast, think about your cute cat strolloing in your garden ahahha
That steering wheel is not original. The original 1979 steering wheels were slightly different. Beautiful ride though!
Hi... How much you asking for it plz?
I have 1.. just trying to figure out how much its worth..

did you ever get it sold?
Waw waw waw🤩
good
When she talks it reminds me of Sarah Palin, a massive word salad....
I wouldn't break that ridiculous emblem off , but I would certainly remove it and replace it with the proper cadillac emblem.
BEAUTIFUL Beautiful BLONDE WOMAN ATTRACTIVE 💖🤩🤩❤❤❤😮😮❤❤NICE CADILLAC 😮😮😮❤❤❤
Is that a special hood ornament? Why no Cadillac crest?
This is the Hess & Eisenhardt Hood Emblem.
how much
Looks like a cross between a Coup Deville and a Fleetwood.
This was a GM contracted convertible made from a coupe DeVille
Nothing sexier than seeing a woman rev an older car
Would've been sexier if she drove it barefoot.
I'm surprised at the poor quality fit of the installed top boot cover. Why's it sticking up in two odd places, seen from behind? Looks cheaply crafted.
Where is the time machine????? jajajajaja greetings Mary Ann
The prive and miles 4:13
The steering wheel is not original

MaryAnn AutoHaus u welcome 🌹🌹🌹🌹
MaryAnn AutoHaus 😍😍
Looks like she's wearing an Apple Watch. I wonder how much the car sold for.
Who gives a fuck about that watch?
78. Tail lights
No, the 1978 didn't have plastic emblems in the glas, they only had the emblem stamped into the glas.
The plastic emblems are only seen in 1979.
That car is hubbed out
Who got it so i can get it off them!????
Sold to California!
@@AutohausofNaples how much did it sell for
That is a one beautiful thing and the other is that blonde lady

It's a 1978
It's a 1979, not a 1978. The 78's had different grill, different plastic wood dash, different power window and lock buttons, different seat design, and different tail lights. What is wrong about this car, that is not a 1979 steering wheel, more like a 1981 or newer.
Real sexy .. the car that is . lol

Ok, nice car, but she needs work in showing cars.

"INFLECTION"......that's the word I was searching for to describe that annoying tendency! Thanks Paul.
Taking now that the shit
Wrong steering wheel horn pad.
