Beethoven & WDR BIG BAND - Sinfonie Nr. 5, Satz 1, OP. 67

Ludwig van Beethoven's birthday will be 250 years old on December 17, 2020. To mark the occasion, composer and arranger Christian Elsässer has taken an intensive and respectful look at Beethoven's works and written jazzy arrangements for the WDR BIG BAND. Under the direction of Christian Elsässer, the WDR BIG BAND will play movement No. 1 (OP. 67) from Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Solo is played by Malte Dürrschnabel on alto saxophone. Produced on 21.12.2020 at the WDR Funkhaus / Cologne.
