Thank you very much! A trick for people at home that don't want to spend money on a new roller: You can remove the clip of the roller to free the rubber band. Now turn the rubber band inside out which effectively gives you a brand new rubber band for free. Now simply clip the rubber band back to the roller and install it back into the printer.
I just cleaned my roller with a simple vinyl eraser, now the roller has a better grip for the paper and I have no more paper jam. In other words I didn't even have to replace the parts. Worked for me at least :) Thanks for video!!

Fantastic video - very clear and easy to follow instructions. Thank you. Looks like the aggravation caused by repeated paper jams is behind me now. The only thing I'd mention to others trying this repair is that I had to punch in the code to get the 2ndary menu a few times (similar to what others have written). But once it appeared, the rest was straight forward.
This worked - except I don't have a pickup roller replacement, but you can actually pull the retaining clip from the center of the pickup roller and then removed the rubber roller gasket material and invert it (turn it inside out) and then replace it on the roll and reinsert the center retaining clip. The rubber on the inside of mine was pristine and had good grip. After simply flipping the rubber gasket around it now grabs paper everytime. Getting to enter 2ndary service was tricky and took 3 or 4 tries before i got into it.
@@esshoul if you find it fails and stops gripping again, you can also re-invert back to the original side and try and re-align the rubber to get a fresher part of the rubber in contact. And if that doesn't work I have even considered cleaning it and brushing some fresh silicone caulking/sealant to it the next time it fails for me to get fresh grip (RTV 732 would be my choice)
Hello. I have tried repeatedly to reveal the 2ndary service on my HP printer and it’s not working. I also tried to remove the roller and there does not seem to be any way of releasing the roller. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get this great printer to work again. Thanks

The tray that holds the cartridges in my printer that you’re showing on this site is stuck I cannot pull out the tray. Do you have any idea what I can do that I can fix this.

For small amount of copy/printing this is good. But if you printing some thousands sheets - only replacing for new one!
