I've been waiting for 5 years to see Dami cry on camera with their first win. If ever an award was so overdue and so well deserved, it's this one. Even The Show staff knew how much Dreamcatcher deserved a win. They never changed their concept even though the Korean public was not enthused about it. Dreamcatcher didn't change, but Kpop changed and became more like them. Compare Kpop in 2015 with Kpop now. Vastly different now and more varied. Kpop is growing up. This is the year of Dreamcatcher!

This made my day. I've been with them since there beginnings as minx and through to their rebirth as dreamcatcher. It has been a long time coming. It will all mean so much to them as a group and as individuals. It goes to show what trust and self belief can do when strength and will are given 100% and these girls have grinded at 100% the last 5 years. Hard work truly pays off and you can break new ground amongst established and accepted norms. Dreamcatcher are the embodiment of those who choose to go against what is expected and accepted and have shown the kpop world what can happen when you break away from the cookie cutter, safe, formulaic and unoriginal regurgitation South Korean music culture has sadly succumb to accepting. These girls are a huge wake up call to any groups who truly want to follow their own authenticity over those who are scared to stand against the mainstream system. There all little warriors and beauty full rebels and this win has just given them the hammer to break that wall down full force. Dreamcatcher truly are in a class of their own and are finally being recognised for being what to many nowadays are scared of being......different. Well done girls, where all so proud of you, fight on!
I usually don't care about awards. But if it means something to the girls, it makes me happy. 5 years? I would say 7½ years. I consider Minx a part of Dreamcatcher, a different era and name. Some may joke about pre Dreamcatcher but for all intents and purposes, Minx failed. Thats why they "disbanded" and tried again. And then add on another 5 years of failing to get a show win. But either way, even if i don't care much about awards, this is big. Especially big for them.
I cried so much watching the unsubbed version when I found out about this win. However Siyeon made one mistake during the acceptance speech. She says "InSomnia, Thank you for supporting us, Dreamcatcher wouldn't exist without you". She's not quite right, Dreamcatcher doesn't exist because of InSomnia, InSomnia exist because we have Dreamcatcher to support. We didn't do this alone, we got a lot of help from other fandoms and we should all be extremely thankful for that. InSomnia if any other fandoms ask for our help we need to turn out to support them as best we can as well.
This was also my first complete stand, I had never done something like streaming for a group or something like that, but how could I not do it for the girls, if they were my only support when I was Going through a very rough patch that I'm trying to get out of completely. The first time I saw them, I really felt at home, how if he spoke with a group of close friends, his quality had never been seen in other groups and it has been really very gratifying to fight with you for this win. That is why we will go for more, for them Somnia I am really glad to have seen them and joined this fandom .
