    Hey buddy - thanks so much! Wow that's really a comprehensive win on all areas for you with this board... I'm really interested in it, but I still have this desire to fly with the Sirus 186 and the paddle, which I did not yet achieve! So probably I will stay with the 7XL Cruzader which I have at the moment... I must admit that honestly ANY of the Cruz boards are so damn cool on the water - the shapes just LOOK mega when they are riding... quite shocked to see that your Lethal is only 3cm shorter at the nose - amazing!

      I only tried once the flat start with the Sirus XXL and HIPE Cruzader 7'6", it felt achievable but it sure requires some training I have no will to put into it 😁
      For the nose length, I was surprised too, but afterwards it seems normal, there is much more length behind the foil than on a Lethal.

      I'm interested to know if you think it's helping more like that or with the manual subtitles that I just added to the French version.
      My understanding is that the Point is better for paddling, more glide and more anti row, while the Diamond offers more stability for the same size.

      @@yohann.roussel I have the "old" cruzader in 6.6XL as my only board (85kg), but in higher winds I would like to have less volume (now 125l) and I am thinking a 5.6xl might be a good option for 1m waves on baltic sea and 25+kn

      @@MrJaennae yeah I suppose except for a beginner, something around 90L could be a day to day board for when the gusts are stronger than 11-12kn.

    hi, is this an sponsored video ? maybe I'm rong but the board was not available yet, when you did the video.
    😇
    in any case the new Cruzaders Point and Diamond look amazing and most probably they are great boards with lots of innovations.

      No it's not. I'm an ambassador so I have a reduced price that's all. I bought one of the first batch like any other client.
      It happened that they lended me stuff in advance so I can test it : I had the HIPE pro 5'3 for about to weeks like that and they sent me some X-Over, Curve, Veloce and Curve H last spring, those I could do review before they were available and post some videos here.

    Hi, thanks for this great review and for English version ! do you know or maybe you have some experience if cruzader diamond or point work well with Fone foils?

    • @yohann.roussel
      @yohann.roussel  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks.
      I have no direct experience of any FOne foil. One friend who's testing the Sk8 had to correct the rake for his board which has the same angle and placement as the GONG, so maybe you'll have to trim that.

      @@Oysterkite1969 thanks. If you want to reproduce a do it all setup like me, I'd stay between 80 and 95L. Since this video, I also tried the Point 6'6" XL and it felt a bit too much to be suited to choppy days.

    Hi, can you please explain the performance in super light wind conditions ?
    Did you try pure-DW boards -super length, super narrow- and can you compare with this Diamond 6' ?
    How many knots did you reduce your minimum foilable conditions ? I mean, with the same wing and same foil,compared with a "standard 100 liter board or your legacy low wind board"
    thanks !

    • @yohann.roussel
      @yohann.roussel  9 месяцев назад

      I didn't try yet really low wind. I don't really expect to gain that much because I need some support in the wing to keep my balance on the board. What I've experienced so far is :
      - I'm really confortable to take off in a 12-13kn gust on the Curve XL-H and 6m2, on this session I would have switched to the Curve L-H if I've had more time. With the Lethal 5'3" 105L, in this conditions the XL-H is my absolute minimum. I can fly but each take off is a little achievement and must be done in the biggest gust, with the Cruzader there was no wait, no impression of difficulty.
      - session with 1.5-2.5m swell 20kn, with the Lethal I would have gone 5m² and be hesitant between Curve L-H and M-H, knowing the M-H would be hard to take off because of the chop and the brevity of the gusts (as soon as you're not on top of the bump, the swell kinda cut the wind). I went with 4m², M-H and nearly never had to wait, the M-H felt big for the take off (the shots where I compare with my buddy with the red wing were taken during this session).

    The 6.0 and 1000L is the one I am looking for. The shape looks great when considering the trend of all-around boards. Not just for light wind, but also for strong wind and small waves. But I would like to see more reviews, in a variety of conditions, before I buy it. Do you know about other good review such as yours?

    Great review. Looking at diamond as my allround board. But I have a lot of low wind days 8-11. 92kg. Tried diamond 6’3 at decent wind 15-20 and had a feeling I could maybe go with 6’0 but not sure if it will get me back home if wind falls to 5-6 knots. Do you think it’s worth the risk going with 6’0?

    • @yohann.roussel
      @yohann.roussel  9 месяцев назад

      I can't be sure but I think I would stay on the safe side and keep the 6'3". My impression with mine is that I need some support in the wing to pull the board on the water before it can glide on the water, so I suppose I won't be able to chase really low wind with it

      Hi Yohann,
      regarding the needed powerfull pull in the wing. I'm getting used to my new Lethal (one of the protos). I'm flying a Droid UPE... you a Neutra UPE. Anyways.. How hard do you inflate yours? I could have it a little bit stiffer sometimes, but I'm anxious to go higher than 7to8 psi.
      Keep having great rides and posting awesome content! 🌊

      @@apoyeah9491 with an UPE (I don't know if it's true with the aramyd too) you can push to higher pressure, Patrice commented how high they test them, I don't remember but it was more than 15. At first I was pushing mines to 11-12 PSI. I reduced later because I realized I didn't get benefits from pushing so high. So if you feel they could be stiffer, you can push a few more pumps.

      Yeah I would, but only if your objectives and progression are matching. I.e. if you can jibe reliably and you don't aim at really low wind.

      @@secondlife7976 for 10 my guess would be +10/20L. for take off in gusts below that, I suppose you need to start thinking about a Point but no board will give you automatic success, you'll need the proper pumping to achieve that. You should ask GONG on the shop chat to get their opinion on that.
