On a Raspberry Pi 3 the can use a wireless x-box controller with a dongle, or Bluetooth ... Kodi will also run on a Raspberry Pi 3, and Steam Games can also stream to the pi .
You are right about the NES everdrive, hwoever the Snes everdrive and mega everdrives are exactly the same as the real thing as they do not have any mappers or special chips, just the raw rom data.
I haven't forgotten those carts, the SVP and Super FX staight up do not work at all. That is why those that do work are 100%. Even DSP 1 games like mario kart are perfect because they require u to canablize a real dsp chip and solder it in there, optionally of course. Megaman X2 and X3 are other good carts to try to get because htey too have weird chip in them, as does street fighter alpha 2 (snes)
I think this ia great alternative to the NES...my daughter is seven and I wanted to get the nes box for her...but I'm not going to spend $150 on it. Plus with this I can install Kids RUclips / Netflix and several other android games for free and just make it a multi media station for her. Thank you for the video. Would love to see a video on how to set up the nes emulators.
Cool device. I have an Ouya that I use for a similar purpose. I will say I like the way everything looks on the one your showing here though. I guess by now the Ouya is pretty dated. I may have to take a look into one of these.
One Öd Rinde boxes is in the way Form China to me. But for an Emulation Station i'm having different plans. looking for a broken NES on ebay. If I can't fix it, I'll do a Raspberry Pi build with support for the original controllers in there.

Don't forget about the SuperFX(SNES) and SVP(Genesis) chips in some carts
