Lisa doesn't rap in her first language. She's rapping in 2nd and 3rd language. She's Thai.
In many of their earlier songs they had their music written, primarily by hitmaker Teddy Park. "Teddy" is a Korean-American rapper/producer who grew up in New York and California before moving to S. Korea. He was the leader of a group called 1TYM then focused on writing and producing for other artists. He currently has his own sublabel at YG Entertainment (BLACKPINK's label) called THEBLACKLABEL. Over the past few years the members have had input and have cowritten some of their music, some of which are big hits. They have also collaborated and written with many other writers, producers and celebrities (they are also signed with Interscope in the U.S., a label under UMG. UMG has the rights to BLACKPINK outside of Asia.)

I think you'll definitely enjoy their award-winning Netflix special BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY as it answers many of your questions. It also gives a great background on how K-Pop "works", the groups' difficult journey, as well as great concert footage! As a rookie group, for the first four years their company did not let the girls have any artistic freedom and give them credits despite the girls saying they've always contributed in the songwriting process- be it verses or complete songs. Jisoo stated in their rolling stone interview that she is proud of their music because they've always been involved in all the artistic aspects of a song from writing, composing, producing, choreographing, styling and art direction. I don't know if anyone told you that Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa is fluent in English. Lisa's first language is Thai and her second language is English with Korean being her third. Jennie spent her elementary years of school in New Zeland which is the reason that she is fluent in English. And Rosé I believed was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia so she spoke very little Korean before becoming a trainee at YG. Jisoo is still learning English but she is able to understand what is being said, she just can't express everything back in English but it is very cute when she does.
The violin playing throughout the song is a sample from a classic song "La Campenella" and the video also pays homage to BLACKPINK's iconic videos and their senior artists.
EVERYTHING is a reference to their past M/V's... I Love how they did that with the sets, even to the billboards, signs, and graffiti

Jennie: She's the one rapping at 2:05. She is one of the two talented rappers on the group. She was born in South Korea but studied on New Zealand, that's why she's so good at english. She has helped Jisoo (a members you'll read about in a bit) improving her english speaking skills, beacuse Jisoo didn't jnow how to speak english.
Lisa: She's the one rapping at 2:19. Lisa is the second rapper of the group. Lisa was born and raised in Thailand, but she moved to South Korea as a teenager to become a Kpop idol which was her big dream, she was a very good english speaker before coming to Korea, but unfortunately she did't know how to speak Korean, but was helped during her trainee days.
Jisoo: She is singing at 3:14. Jisoo was born and raised in South Korea and was never really taught english. So Jisoo is the only one in the group who cannot speak english fluidly. But the members has helped her improve ger english a lot during their years together! She has improved a lot! Jisoo has very raw and deep vocals, which are beautiful and so unique. Her killing visuals is something she is very known for!
Rosé: She's the one singing at 3:21. Rosé was born and raised in New Zealand and then moved to Australia at seven years old. She is the only Australian in her group. Rosé is known for her soft warming and golden voice. She is also called the golden voice of Kpop.

Blackpink concept is different than any k-pop group
They do it in three, possibly four, languages, so the words will best fit the phrase timing. Sadly, K-Pop (and the world) has been infected with (c)rap to such an extent, instead of learning to sing.

In all fairness, blackpink is quite westernized, the origin of kpop comes from the same origins as pop. 90s and early 2000s kpop is not hip hoppy but it has become highly influenced by it lately in the last 10 years or so. If you are interested in comparing a different style of kpop group, not saying they are better just different, you can try "Twice" or "New Jeans"(the latter gaining huge popularity as of late). These two groups are really the other big female kpop groups as of late.
