People forget that the real aim of this was to justify a rise in cost for Friday by having a competitive session on each day. So I would put the qualifying and the race back where they were. And have a sprint race on the Friday in reverse order of the championship positions. I would then allow teams to make changes to the car set up based on what they learn from the sprint. So... Fri: FP1 and Sprint Sat: FP2 and (Parc Ferme Rules from here as before) Qualifying Sun: Grand Prix My reason for this is that if you dislike the sprint you don't have it interrupt your usual weekend. And if a teams car is damaged badly they have a really long time to fix it before the Grand Prix. Just one man's opinion 😂
Reverse grid on a short race is a terrible idea for sprints. It is just asking for crashes before the main race in a sprint that comparatively people don’t care much about.

I have the same thought. Fixes parc ferme and still gets something on Friday.
