I've got one of these, I've had it for 8 or 9 years. I used to use it as a flightline pack, carrying all my essentials when I was stuck miles away from anywhere. It's been battered, abused, thrown off the top of aircraft, fallen of trucks, dragged behind tractors, and still looks more or less brand new. I put the triad pouch on the MOLLE grid on the front, which was great for my phone, flashlight, and multitool, and I kept a poncho and shemagh on the shockcord at the bottom front, It's one of my favourite packs and it's still in regular rotation.
I have a large collection of Maxpeditions foliage green pouches and finally decided on this same pack to complete the collection. I wish one side had just molle instead of a mesh pocket so I can add their 12x5 bottle pouch but otherwise I love it. Thanks for the review!!
I have that exact same bag, same color. I bought mine new in 2014. Use it daily for work and everyday carry. It’s a little dirty but still in excellent condition. Highly highly recommend maxpedition.
Maxpedition makes excellent bomb proof packs, and the build quality will never fail you. Had this pack and the Condor 2 for years, eventually sold them because the straps on both destroyed my shoulders. I hope your experience differs though, these packs are a great value. Great loadout and vid, stay safe out there!
I was looking for a comparison between 5.11 Rush 12, the Direct Action Dust and the Dragon Egg. Wasn’t sure which one to choose as my new EDC backpack to replace a TT Essential Pack L MK2. Stumbled upon your video and you made it worse xD Now I am really thinking about getting the Maxpedition :D Great video. Thank you very much
I can tell You My Maxpedition Falcon 2 has been used for 3 years now and has absolutely been the Best pack I have ever used . Way better than any Military pack I ever owned. Do Not be afraid these are Made overseas.... The Quality is second to None! Attachments are endless and molle everywhere. Only other pack I'll ever iwn will be a Frost River 😊
Looks like a great pack....however i wish Maxpedition would cut out a ventilation pattern on the back and put HDPE sheet to support everything. I know that no one prolly carries much weight in something like this but a plastic sheet to help hold it's shape and specific channels for air flow would cut back-sweat immensely and would only add a few dollars to the price.
@@ThePreparedWanderer Thank you for the review and your additional information provided here. I checked out the Mil Spec Monkey site, and I wasn't able to find it. Is there a manufacturer's name to go with, perhaps? Thanks!
The only thing that maxpedition could improve on are the straps. Too soft IMO. But I've had my pygmy falcon for years, traveled the world, been my kids school pack, and still looks brand new.

Ive had a falcon 2 for about 6 years now and that thing is amazing! Two of the buckles have broke but they still clip together and hold well.
Hej hej!
I have this pack for years now. I tried many others, but always come back to this one...

Nice pack I like it.
Great video!
Love the pack. Been using it for a perfect sized camera bag for my DSLR. Its small and doesn't draw a lot of attention.

Many moons ago you showed a Mountain Smith shoulder bag day pack. They have discontinued it. Do you still have yours ?
I do not have that pack anymore
The Prepared Wanderer thank you,
Amazon store link doesn’t work
