I am very happy to announce that ONE YEAR LATER, we finally have the third/first episode of Elden Ring published. If you enjoyed this journey, please consider giving it a watch. ❤ My Elden Ring Redemption - FIRST TIME SOULS PLAYER [Part 1] ruclips.net/video/IF3BJ6w6U-E/видео.html
Thank you!! I am really excited to keep playing through it and experiencing the pain of learning it. Been really busy with school so it's been hard to set aside the time since it requires focus LOL
The level of anxiety I had watching this video... it's crazy. All because you wouldn't aim your camera towards the sky... basically just missing out on the beautiful erdtree. Hahahhaa. Really fun video... this is going to be a great series!!!
Bahaha I am so sorry for the anxiety!!! I just released my “Second First Try” since this was a year ago and I highly recommend the watch because I think I cured some of those points of anxiety LOL
i kept screaming "USE TARGET LOCK" at the screen in the beginning. i love seeing new players ignore the tutorial messages and then be bewildered whn they find out the game DOES NOT hold your hand after that ever again. the confusion and terror till the realization sets in is like crack haha
This game is a fantastic entry point into the series. The way it allows you to explore and learn at your own pace provides a lot of freedom to play your own way that previous entries were more rigid on. It was my first souls game too and now I have upwards of 1200 hours logged
Not really. It is more open yes but the difficulty IS really unbalanced in this game. The first three boss are very easy but From geant of fire the game becomes very hard. Maliketh, Hoarah Lou, Elden beast, Placidusax are very hard and Malenia is considered as the hardest boss of all fromsoftware's games. And i Say that i played all From Software's games . For a New player i recommend Dark souls 3. It is Closer than ER but Boss are not very difficult and some hard boss are in DLCs
@@NoctisNexus She breaks a lot of the pre-established combat rules you are taught through prior bosses. She is unfair, but accepting that unfairness shifts the paradigm from one of knowledge-based gameplay to one of instinct-based gameplay. Good luck in your attempts!
The soulsborne games have really evolved from their start. I think darksouls 1 offers the easiest and gentlest dive into this style of gameplay but you could consider the movement far more clunky than that of Elden Ring. I think it’s good at teaching the idea of patience and knowing when you can strike and the basic rhythm of combat. My intro to the fromsoft happened to be DS3 and I didn’t even beat the first boss before dropping the game for over a year before trying again. Cant wait to see how things go
This game requires, among other things, awareness and patience. Emphasis on the patience. Not only that, but it requires experience. Experience gained through fighting Zoo animals, dragons, and even Canadians, all to squeeze out the narrowest of victories.
Bahahah yes! I actually just published my first video back again playing after a year and I think I genuinely improved a lot from this experience!! Still have a LOT to learn but definitely feel way more aware and patient!! :D
@NoctisNexus You should definitely post a reaction video of Max0r's incorrect summary of elden ring once you finish this game. It is hilarious and surprisingly accurate.
@@generalgrievousproductions She probably wouldn't even have to worry about spoilers, because the story makes no fucking sense (in a good way). It's refreshing to see someone who seems to legit have no idea about souls games! Very entertaining. I was disappointed to see there were only 2 episodes, but understandable if you just don't have the time anymore. Maybe this changes in your second video, but I think the biggest thing you could easily fix to improve your gameplay so far is just using the lock-on for like 95 percent of enemies. It's pretty hard to hit enemies without using it, especially as a new player.
Thank you SO much for this comment, it brought a smile to my face. Since this video was a year ago I do completely intend on recording the next episode as a "revisit from scratch" and start it from the beginning again. It definitely doesn't change in the second video LOL, it is quite a funny one though if I do say so myself. Very, "a series of unfortunate events" coded. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, and for watching!! AND yes I def intend on locking on moving forward LOL
@@NoctisNexus Hah, sounds good. I've seen a lot of playthroughs and basically no one uses the lock-on right away. The learning curve on the souls games is rough at the beginning. You seem to innocent for this game😂 its very hard if you new to the series and go in completly blind, maybe watch some beginner videos, i did the same and im sure most ppl did :) (oh i just noticed this video is from a year ago) 😂
BAHAHA yes it is from a year ago, however I do intend to fully create an additional approach in this series. It’s been a wild year of gaming and I think I’m ready to face this.
@@NoctisNexus lets gooo

It's not a souls game.
Okay!
you're pretty funny
hey thanks
Sooo.... it looks like you just gave up on the game...........
There is an episode 2! It has been about a year now since I have touched this series, but I am planning on getting back into it. The first 2 episodes were recorded when I was in college still, so I had a lot more time to dedicate to the craft of recording and editing, but I am getting back in the swing of things with series' like Hollow Knight and another surprise dropping soon!
@@NoctisNexus you are just waiting for the DLC to drop, for the full experience 😂
Omg, so I saw that this video has been popping off and I literally googled "elden ring news" and saw that that was a thing LMAO I had no idea there was a DLC, however yes I think I am going to work on this ASAP to get a video up before the DLC :D@@backpug1228
Elden Ring is not a souls game it’s Elden Ring souls games are DS1 DS2 DS3
Ya you are the only one to ever try and clarify that.
Bahaha, see I definitely get your point, but it is an open world version of the Dark Souls titles by the same creator, so it is essentially a Souls Game. No worries though! Nothing to get upset about!! :)
