Great finds Ashley! So I have a stain removing trick: Anytime you have a stain that appears to be an oil/ grease type stain, wet fabric and take original blue Dawn dishwashing soap, putting tiny amount onto stain, and with a “soft” toothbrush work the dawn into the fibers of the stain, (often Ill use a washable cotton cloth behind stain so it doesnt transfer to other side of garment. Anyway, lightly scrub stain, let it sit, dry even. I then toss in wash on cold/ speed cycle, HANG to dry, and if its still there (very rarely do I have to repeat process) anyway, once I can determine that the stain is gone I will then properly launder the garment and dry according to the care label. The reason that you don’t want to put it in the dryer initially is because if the stain is still there, the heat from the dryer will set the stain. And thats my grease removing tip. Thanks for reading my Ted Talk😂
Ashley! You have to try the foaming Dawn on the oil stains, even ones that have gone through the dryer. I just squirt it on the stain and toss it right in the washer. It works nearly 95% of the time! Thank you for all of the advice, it is so appreciated!
You said oil stains are hard to get out but I found something that works so good! It’s super clean in the auto section at Walmart! It’s a purple bottle!
Dawn platinum dish soap will remove grease stains. I keep a bottle in my laundry room. Saturate the grease stain and allow to sit for a few hours, wash as usual. Sometimes it takes a couple times, but it has always worked for me.
For oil stains in clothing I suggest the following: if really bad, use brown paper bag and an iron to suck excess out of fabric, then wash with Dawn dish soap, this works wonders on my fiancés garage clothing
Want to get out oil stains, grass stains, etc try 1 cup Cascade1 cup Clorox II in 1 gallon of hot water soak for 20 min then pour clothes and solution in washer and wash. I’ve been using this for years. Love your channel. Good Luck. Linda
Just found your channel and “wow”.I love thrifting and have been thinking of stepping out and opening an online store. I will retire in a couple of years and think this would make a great side hustle. Your content inspires. Thank You!!
i understand gut feeling, something speaks to you, something stunning,...do you ever resell something that's not attractive to you because you know it'll sell?...thanks for your wonderful videos!
That was the hardest thing for me to learn because I only like really high quality stuff made of natural fibers because my grandmother was Scottish and we only wore cotton and linen and cashmere and never polyester.. I had to make myself buy stuff that I thought was junk.. because people love it.
Oil stains come out super easy! Use liquid laundry detergent and pour it directly over the satin. Roll up the garment and let it sit over night. Next morning wash and dry. It’s a never fail for me. I also did this with my husband work shirt and bam!
Another trick for removing grease stains is go to your local IFA store and ask for a thing called orvis. It is great for removing any kind of stains my mom made delicate blessing outfits for children and one of them got grease on it accidentally and my mom tried orvis on it and it worked amazing she was a master seamstress so stuff got accidentally stained and she would use that and it would be amazing
I work at a thrift store and we use Carbona stain removers and most of the time they work like a dream. It might be worth it if you have something worth more money.
Would love to see a video on how you started and somewhat if a tutorial on how you organize your items to sell on eBay. Think what you’re doing is amazing as a young stay at home mom
I always look forward to your videos!!! Also, grease and oily food stains can be removed with peroxide and dawn dish soap. I spot clean with it. Leave on for about 24 hours. It usually comes out, even if it’s gone through the dryer. It’s saved so many of my favored clothes!
I can’t believe you said oil/grease were the hardest stains to remove. I think they are the easiest. Use either dish washing liquid (a little rubbed into stain before putting in wash) or any cheap spray stain remover sprayed on and rubbed in and put in wash. 9 times out of 10 it works, occasionally you made need to repeat but I have had success so many times. I’m terrible at spilling food down my top 🤣 but get the marks out this way
Thank you for another great video! I love your videos. I don't know what it was about this one but I seemed to have trouble reading many of the labels you were showing. I found myself having to pause and enlarge the screen and then shrink it down. And sometimes if that didn't work I went over to the thumbnail which did not always work either. I don't know if anything was different. But thank you again
Wow! Unreal! I was thinking maybe reselling clothes would be difficult right now cause in my area (Arkansas) there are so many consignment shops. You’re not finding that obviously!
You mentioned that you post your items right away. where do you keep your inventory and how on earth do you keep it organized. Looking to see how things are shipped as well!
Your videos are inspiring. I used to sell on ebay and now that I'm moving to a city I'm going to start again. I'll be able to find better stores. It's the shipping that costs so much and I always keep that in mind when pricing and i list at a lower price. Do people really pay $6 to $10 for a $18 -$25 item?
I'm going to have to try this, thanks. I've had great luck on fresh grease stains using non-pumice automotive hand cleaner (the brand is called Goop) but old grease stains are hit and miss.
I had a question that been bothering me. How to you juggle pricing on items that have been listed for a while? Say you spent $10 on an item. Do you list at $20 and then do a minimum of $10 for that no matter how long it sits to at least make your money back. Just let it sit? Or do you go lower just to get it out of inventory and take a loss? Or do you just wing it per item? Maybe a video on that aspect would be informative. I’m curious of your thoughts.
Wish that you would do a video to help us newbies along. I have very stagnant sales even after lowering prices again and again-reposting-cross posting-having fairly quick turnaround items. I also never get sales after offering almost 20-25% off with discounted shipping- why? Please help about to quick as not wanting to buy anymore merch if I can not sell what I have.. Thanks!!
Last week I spent about CAD$250 when Goodwill half price, I got almost all the high end dresses in the store with limited brand selection, but average only $4 each piece and no taxes in Canada Goodwill, hope can sell them well, cause I really want to upgrade my store to get more higher value stocking.
When you say you thrifted for 7 hoursz was that all in one store? I thought i took a long time, and always leave feeling a little embarrassed that i spent over an hour there.... but maybe my self-conscious time awareness is undue!
Hi Ashley! Do you still sell on Poshmark or only on Ebay now? I was looking for those NWT Pilcro jeans because they are my size & I love the style but I couldn’t find them on your Posh closet! Let me know because I want to buy them if they are still available🤣🥰
I have been to this thrift about 8 times. Never found anything worth picking up. I am not sure how you are finding all this stuff at the other side thrift.
It's people like you that make thrift store prices so high now. There's people who can't afford things and need thrift store prices and you come in and buy crap to flip a profit and the thrift stores are catching onto this so they jack prices.
👍🏻Thrift stores are raising prices, as higher quality items are being resold for profit (e.g. gold jewellery). Any items I thrift, I keep! Tend to find more unique vintage items at Estate sales and consignment stores. Many families are unable to afford retail prices.
No offense, but you should teach your children to ask before they buy. And on the flip side, don't you read your credit card statements to see where your money was spent? Had you not seen that charge, how many hundreds of dollars (or more) would you be paying for?
Seriously 😮, Yes they should have but they are still kids and guess who kinds learn what should or shouldn’t do, by doing it and by making the mistakes and then come the adult and correct them. You should remember that from your childhood even if you don’t have children of your own
If you have to start a comment by saying “no offense”, then it’s probably best you don’t write the comment. It’s nobody’s business how Ashley spends her money. SMH 🤦♀️
"Athletic apparel company, Lululemon, is facing backlash after founder and former CEO, Chip Wilson's recent comments that "certain customers" should be discouraged from shopping at its stores." Not the first time he's said something similar but now he has said it during times of Gen Z who boycott everything that's offensive. This could be another reason sales have gone down.
Why do you keep putting Goodwill in your titles when you are definitely not at Goodwill? Is it for views? If so, that is disheartening as you are not giving credit to those stores, especially TOSA as they deserve the credit!! Makes me not want to watch your channel anymore as it feels disingenuous :(
I mean no harm with this statement but, content creators are blasting Lululemon on numerous videos weekly. Whatnot has multiple shows of just Lululemon weekly. It's everywhere. Has no choice but to drop in value. Supply is out running demand. Whatnot is hurting resell prices of clothing and shoes.
Great finds Ashley!

I agree, I also use the power dawn, works really well.
I ❤ how all my parent friends have hidden treats from their children 😂😂😂 great vid Ashley

Thanks for always educating us on brands to look out for. You are the real deal.

Love your channel. Good Luck. Linda
I’ve never in my life seen anyone with as much luck as you have.
Wish you could bottle whatever “that” is.
I’d be first in line to buy me a bottle! 😅❤
Just found your channel and “wow”.I love thrifting and have been thinking of stepping out and opening an online store. I will retire in a couple of years and think this would make a great side hustle. Your content inspires. Thank You!!
I am addicted to your vids! So fun to watch. Also, I've never had a greasy spot that Dawn dish detergent won't remove. Worth a try 13:48
I wish I knew this before I tossed two of my favorite tops :(
LOVE WHEN FAVE PLACES BRING OUT ALL THE GOODS!
Really enjoy your content. Thrift, buy, sell and treat yourself - repeat. Keep having fun. Stay safe.
I love seeing your face when you get your treats❤❤❤ I loved it all.
Love watching you & the information you provide. Thanks..
i understand gut feeling, something speaks to you, something stunning,...do you ever resell something that's not attractive to you because you know it'll sell?...thanks for your wonderful videos!
Oh totally, I sell things all the time that I'm like, huh this is ugly but it'll sell lol.
That was the hardest thing for me to learn because I only like really high quality stuff made of natural fibers because my grandmother was Scottish and we only wore cotton and linen and cashmere and never polyester.. I had to make myself buy stuff that I thought was junk.. because people love it.
Your videos always make my day! ❤
Try using basic white chalk on grease stains. Outline the stain, and fill in let sit a couple hours or longer then launder.
Oil stains come out super easy! Use liquid laundry detergent and pour it directly over the satin. Roll up the garment and let it sit over night. Next morning wash and dry. It’s a never fail for me. I also did this with my husband work shirt and bam!
Yay!!! Ashley video!! ❤had such a crap week, this definitely helps!!😊
I’m going try to talk in my husband going to your state. You have the best goodwills. Living rural area can’t find anything close to what you find lol
Couldn't agree more on the Lulu. Thanks for being transparent.
Your videos are educational and entertaining. Thank you. I wish I had a great thrift store like this one in my area.
Love your Channel! I use dawn powerwash for oil stains. Works for me!
Congratulations for a great hall Ashley. You deserve it, keep your head up!
Thanks for taking us shopping and sharing info.😊

I love your editing!! It’s so funny!
Dawn power wash will get oil stains out, even old ones.
Crappy day + Ashley video = much better day ❤
This absolutely means the world to me. 😭😭 thank you!!
6 hours for me today! Treats for sure! Great video. Keep them coming
Would love to see a video on how you started and somewhat if a tutorial on how you organize your items to sell on eBay. Think what you’re doing is amazing as a young stay at home mom
She has those on her channel. Lots.
I always look forward to your videos!!! Also, grease and oily food stains can be removed with peroxide and dawn dish soap. I spot clean with it. Leave on for about 24 hours. It usually comes out, even if it’s gone through the dryer. It’s saved so many of my favored clothes!
I also use Dawn dish soap. Talcum powder works wonders also for small spots.
Oh thank you! This is so helpful!

Love it! I've been to that thrift store, and got the cutest romper for myself!
Yes we love picking up BYLT as well! Great video as always!
Wonderful treasures and at amazingly great prices! I certainly enjoy your videos and watching you find great things ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Awesome scores! You always find the best items 😁
Wow!
I love finding Vuori, so basic and unassuming but always a good flip
I picked up a penfield parka a while back and sold it after a week for $150!
That store has some crazy good finds!
I love watching your video gives me new ideas Thank you
I just found the lulu jacket just like the one you found. Hoping it would foot but it did not. I think it will sell well.
Are you familiar with Johnny Was, Lavender clothesline gives a lot of helpful brandnames she resells🥰
Dawn dishwashing liquid takes oil, grease and more stains out🥰
Some lululemon pieces do sell well, the flared leggings for example. I just have to comp it before I buy it.
Please go to Estate Sales. You'll ❤️ them!
Hi, how are you going to wash a new with tag item?
Love your content
How do you know how old a piece is? Could you show us more on how to clean up/prepare items? Thanks very much!
Great haul!
Good seeing you.😊

I’ve had success with old grease stains using WD-40 and then dawn. Usually comes out.
Agreed!

Aweosme video keep it up!!!
“Be choosy now with Lululemon”… (proceeds to buy all the lululemon)
🤣🤣 guiltyyyyyy
I literally found champion x Todd Snyder Sherpa hoodie yesterday 🎉
Ahhhh no way!! Yay!!

Wild to see you use one of my sold comps on something you picked up, how fun!
Super successful for sure 🤗
Have you done a video on how to get rid of the stains

I have a mini fridge for v treats too near my desk
Had my eyes on the one Free People shirt, sadly it was an extra small! lol drats
do you have the ray ban camera glasses!?
Last week I spent about CAD$250 when Goodwill half price, I got almost all the high end dresses in the store with limited brand selection, but average only $4 each piece and no taxes in Canada Goodwill, hope can sell them well, cause I really want to upgrade my store to get more higher value stocking.
Lululemon isn’t selling well even new. They just opened an outlet 10 min away which is the first sign of an elite brand on its way out
Enjoyed ❤
When you say you thrifted for 7 hoursz was that all in one store? I thought i took a long time, and always leave feeling a little embarrassed that i spent over an hour there.... but maybe my self-conscious time awareness is undue!
Hi Ashley! Do you still sell on Poshmark or only on Ebay now? I was looking for those NWT Pilcro jeans because they are my size & I love the style but I couldn’t find them on your Posh closet! Let me know because I want to buy them if they are still available🤣🥰
I am subscriber on my tv. I love your videos! I have to ask, what are you doing with all those hangers you’re taking off as you shop?
Some thrifts actually have you leave the empty hangers on the rack .
Amazing finds! Wondering if this was near a College town?
I have that same Boden dress you looked at sitting in my ebay store right now. It being a size 0 doesn't help, I'm sure.
I found a pearly gates hoodie the other day 🤤
Yes Coca Cola should think about being a sponsor . Awesome video
I’ve had a Todd Snyder hoodie up for 2 years and hasnt sold even with putting it down to $38.
"if you are that size, I love you and I hate you" I have never felt more seen.
Why do you leave the coat hangers on the rack, after taking the clothes off, it's more work for the staff having to find them
Yup and they often fall on the floor. I take them to the cash.
What happens to all the things that you don’t sell? Do you donate keep??
Oh of course they start a resale store right after I finally find a piece😅
Thrifting ASMR 😂 jk amazing haul though!
I only thrift for myself, but i have NOT been having luck! Maybe the universe is telling me i dont need anything? Lol. Nah!
I have been to this thrift about 8 times. Never found anything worth picking up. I am not sure how you are finding all this stuff at the other side thrift.
Nice❤❤❤❤❤❤
Did you thrift at that particular spot for 7 hours or did you go to multiple stores that day 😂😅
Dawn takes oil stains out of
I am finding that Lululemon is appealing to the tween now and I think women are moving to other brands.
First? Thanks for the content!

I was kind of thinking maybe the wrong title got put on this vid 🤷🏻♀️
@@melissaheadrick5264 she’s done it on a lot of her more recent videos.
I was wondering the same thing.

I like that they called out fat people. It’s workout gear. Get your ass in a gym.
🙂💚
Love watching you thift🎉❤
