    A good video, but...
I use a variety of stoves depending on where I am camping (environment) and the type of camping I am doing (backpacking/bushcraft/car etc).
My go to is a wood burning stove; resources are free and often abundant but can take time to process if we've had heavy rainfall. However, I always carry a form of backup, in the past it was my mini trangia, but today I use a JetBoil (official, but when it needs replacing, I'm happy with a clone as they appear to be as good as).
I think it's healthy to not stick to one type, they all have advantages and disadvantages; such as certain fuel types that can be a difficulty to light in cold temperatures.
That said, I like the format of this video, you have a new sub. :)

@@DadsAdventureTime great, can't wait. I'd like to see bushcraft/camping skill you picked up whilst in the forces too. Things that can be employed by civilians. Like a good all round knot or smokeless fires. Enjoy your day.

I must admit to having a bit of a thing for stoves. Gas, meths, petrol, hexamine, gel but not wood burners. I find that there isnt any fuel up the hills for wood burners.
In the winter I like the petroll stoves but a remote gas stove with a preheater tube can have the canister inserted and that works in the winter. They can flare up though like yours did. The preheater preheats the liquid gas and gets rid of that a bit.
Never considered the jetboil. As you say it is too big and bulky.
Trouble is that gas is getting pricey. Have a look at speedster stoves. His system runs off meths or bioethanol which is cheaper. It is also a very lightweight system.

definately. YT is about algorithums and numbers - comments and likes help to promote a video. Good luck with this channel.
