Thank you for such an informative & laid video, I’m just at the early stage of trying to make these, that being that I’ve bought some dyes, a big big spoon & a tub, well 2 tubs, they were on special! Anyways thank you for taking the time to make these, although I don’t know.if I was watching you at times, or wondering what’s in all of your tubs in the background!”
Hi :) You're such a great person, thanks for this tutorial 🖤 I have a question tho, how can I dye a floss with more than one color with the first technique??
It's super easy! If you've only got one microwave, you can use that plastic wrap to cover your cup. I don't really recommend doing it the other way unless you're never putting food in that machine though. They pop and make a huge mess all the time.
It depends on what you're trying to achieve. Hotter temperatures and longer times will get you richer, deeper colours that are more likely to be colourfast. Lower temperatures and shorter times will get you more subdued or uneven colours, which may be more likely to bleed. For this particular one, I was doing about two minutes on high - enough to boil it vigorously and really soak the colour in. This was also in a 1 cup container. A larger container would need to go for longer to boil. But I recommend experimenting with times and settings to see what you like best!
Wow I saw the ghost too!

How long and what temperature did you use in the microwave?
