What kind of group of cowards sits and watches their leader get executed by some punk? The man truly never had the respect of his own people to have them all watch that happen and do nothing... He had no real freinds to watch his back that night.
In retrospect the scene right before he was killed he was trying to teach a younger group of bikers not to leave your friends behind but then got left behind by the same friends he was speaking about. Whether they were killers or not they watched their friend and boss get killed right in front of them if that happened to any one of them Johnny would have turned out for sure crashed out for sure
@@jackashmore for sure because the old school knuckles fights no one truly died at least not on purpose if at worst but using a gun your intent was to kill
It was about man’s natural instinct. The joy of being free and masculine without wanting the harm to come to others unless they stepped out of line. Even then there were rules and codes they lived by. It wasn’t a movie about a Motorcycle gang, but a motorcycle club. It was to represent the ending to man’s life that thought that chaos could be controlled and stay a “healthy fun”. Ya know the “we ain’t hurting nobody”, but the realization that in wanting a lack of rules and freedom you open yourself up to true chaos and crime. It’s one’s man story. But a story that is true and solid to Everyman. If you didn’t like the acting, fine. But to say the story and movie was shit because your lack of self awareness as a man and inner searching for self-worth, that’s just lame. It’s a good story. Don’t think it was ever meant to be a blockbuster.
It was not the acting or the premise of the story. I think the story in itself was very good. The acting is a direct reflection of the screenplay. The best story in the world can be completely destroyed by a terrible screenplay. It was the screenplay itself. Examples of this is one of the characters Benny. He was quick to defend his brothers yet did nothing when seeing his leader gunned down. Totally out of character. He would have retaliated immediately. They could have had Benny get injured during that scene. Then to have him quit riding after Johny’s death to live a life of feeling completely entrapped. As a bike rider I can tell you that Benny would not have quit riding. He would have continued to ride unless physically unable. A better ending for him would have been him riding solo maybe on the leaders bike reflecting with flashbacks on the leaders words. To have Benny completely defeated and regretting his life choice of quitting was actually a sad and unbelievable portrayal of a true bike rider thus the bad reviews.
This is when it being a 🐈and a coward in a fight passed for being a tough guy and now look where we are how can people think that ambushing someone makes them tough 👎
Yeah people keep saying that this movie suck. You people just don't want to be reminded about real life that's why it sucks to you. You don't want to be reminded whenever someone has a problem they use violence to solve their problems. If you comprehend the scene well you know that that's why that kid shot Tom Hardy was because Tom Hardy disrespected the kid and he shot him. Remember he was the same kid who told Tom Hardy hey check out our bikes... Think about all of the articles out there news wise about how teenagers youngest 14 are being charged with violent crimes.. Most of the time these crimes are caused by people because of misunderstandings or disputes.. When you use violence to solve your problems you're just making the world more ugly that's the lesson here.
5:50 This shit was wack. He had the opportunity to end kids life when he poked him outside the club. End it right there but her showed mercy and it backfired when kid came back and shot him.
@ mot even what happened here. The kid was getting revenge for getting embarrassed earlier in the show. Kid wanted into the club and was told to abandoned his friends, he instantly said yes but he couldn’t get in because of that. Cause the group doesn’t want someone who’s leaving people behind.
It's a decent watch as long as you have the attention span to actually sit down and watch something these days. Most people can't handle sitting still and shutting their trap for 5 minutes let alone a whole movie.
Kid was entitled. He thought he could just walk into the club without earning his spot. And when Johnny tested him he showed how selfish he was and had no respect for the idea of brotherhood. That scene demonstrates an example of where the the age of real men was destroyed by the era of punks and wannabe gangsters. And sure it would've been nice to see Benny or one of the other boys avenge his murder, but this is a story supposedly based on real life, and in real life, things don't always end like they do in the movies. Sometimes the bad guys and the assholes win.
I saw this coming a mile away. I really hated Tom Hardy's accent. I wish they just made him the immigrant character like Chibs in Sons of Anarchy. Idris Elba's speech coach should probably get in touch with Tom Hardy's Agent.
I wanted to like this movie but it was corny as fuck. For anyone who liked it. What scenes were actually good in your opinion? Every single scene was corny as fuck. I absolutely hated this movie. I saw the ending coming from a mile away. I knew as soon as he challenged him that he was gonna shoot him with a gun.
Crappy boring movie that basically had the same storyline as Carlito's Way. Some young punk wants to make a name for himself so when he gets rejected he kills the leader........ come on Hollywood come up with something original and stop with all the remakes reboots and re-imaginings
Gang membership has tons of meaning for people who make the mistake of believing that their lives have none. It’s a lack of education. A lack of imagination.
This movie was...a flat note throughout. No highs. No lows. Made with all the love and care like opening a packet of ketchup. Spoot. Zero Fanfare.
this movie was awful, waste of tom hardys talent.
It was based on a true story. Real life is never has as much “fanfare” as you want it to.
Kind of expected that
Well put, I agree
@warrenb8228 the movie is very very loosely based on a true story. This story is not true.
What kind of group of cowards sits and watches their leader get executed by some punk? The man truly never had the respect of his own people to have them all watch that happen and do nothing... He had no real freinds to watch his back that night.
Probably a group of people like you.
Because they fighters not killers🤷♂️
Well it happened so fast there was nothing they could have done
That’s the point they weren’t really that kind of gangster.

Golden age of motorcycle gangs ends and the start of the coward era begins.
Seriously, people missed the point of this movie. They thought it was gonna be like SOA but it was grounded and realistic.

I totally agree with that .
Agreed…this wasn’t an action film. It was a lesson.
Kinda messed that his bois stayed in the car and then left him behind.
they’ve probably never faced anyone with a gun because they’re not killers. so i can’t blame them for not knowing what to do

It certainly wasn't "Goodfellas with motorcycles."
Or particularly enjoyable, for that matter.
Moral of the story..... Don't bring a knife to a gunfight😊
@@mushymushys It wasn't gonna be a fair fistfight in any case. Didn't you see the dagger and brass knuckles?
@@rhizomorph-musicthe whole point of the fight is either knives, or fists. The kid pulled a gun. The kid was in the wrong but they accepted it

Brown note of a movie
I got lung cancer and liver cirrhosis just watching this clip.
The sound in this movie was top notch.
Good to see Tom Hardy taking a break from playing a hard nosed tough guy, to play a hard nosed tough guy.
His best role was in Rock n Rolla. 😂😂 but fr.
😂😂what!? I mean leader got killed and no one to avenge him...
Gotta love when youtube just spoils movies 👍
So he goes to a street fight and his boys stay in the car then don’t get out….
What type of gang was that
Had to finish it all off with a close-up of Austin Butler.
Ride or Die
go get em johnny yeah in the end they got him!!!
The prequel to Broke Back Mountain
It's as if I don't need to watch it now.
If that wasn't an assassin, i don't know what is... Nobody on your side opens up on them with machine guns after you get executed... Set up
Damn goons were ruining shit back in the 60’s as well
How any club sit by and let that happen. So glad I not part of this crew. Not a biker. Dame glad not one now
Where was Jonny’s boys when he got murdered ?
Morel of the story….gangs are stupid.

Lmao, this is what real life is like, it’s very dull, very flat and if you hang out with certain types of people you could get shot

Akind of a weird gang 😂 who will be loyal to a crew if dude was gonna dump them
