I just started warming up my last epoch skills again, in preparation for cycle 2 which cannot come fast enough. 🎉🎉🎉
Balancing skills and builds is a necessary and good goal, but i really don't like the idea of reducing a players kill time because they do "too much" damage. If a build truly does too much damage to be acceptable then nerf the build. If one build does more damage then another it 100% should kill the boss that much faster then a weaker build in my opinion.
That would happen even single cycle ever.
Gender locked classes means a no-go for me.
I really like the sound of these newer tankier bosses. For me there is very few things as disappointing in an ARPG as insta killing a boss because its basically a glorified trash mob. Bosses should be hard and tanky and difficulty to kill its kinda in the name. Just hopefully the rewards match the difficulty. The other that's disappointing imo is when bosses die super fast like trash mobs and also give no loot, makes me wonder why I bothered to spend the time to get to the boss in the first place if there is no challenge and no reward.
I still don't understand why they just don't cap Corruption at like 500 or something. Backlash? Who cares, they are going to pout some and then continue playing / come back.
Having a cap would be very good for the health of the game.
Mike has said he doesn't want a hard point people can hit and then say I'm done with the game. I can see both sides on this.
@@TonyBingGaming I can understand that. Now. There isn't that many things promoting alts and such(honestly speaking), so it makes sense to keep it infinite for the time being. Just very hard to punch above 1000, let alone multiple thousands(as Mike keeps saying).
@@TonyBingGaming Having no limit stops a build feeling complete. Have a very high limit and then you just do it more efficiently.
Please turn off game sounds. Hard to listen to you over that noise, had to turn off the video very early.

Yea...this is not a good choice and a bad direction to go. arpg players cannot stand when they are stunted because of being too strong. Dragging out a fight "just because" is pointless and a waste of our time. If a player can kill it in 10 seconds, then good for them. Super strong build and the player it having fun. Maybe just nerf the build a bit in the next season like PoE does.
The old and new system would drag it out just the new one makes it more visible what is happening.
This system is stupid
