India is poor, poverty rates are high. I live in a satellite city in India and I don't see a slum anywhere just apartments and greenery. And if you are visiting unplanned metropolitan areas then you will obviously find slums because pay in India is too low and most people can afford houses in metropolitan areas but in satellite cities where I live, housing Is planned and affordable
