She probably didn't want Tamar to find out from Vince. Toni is right its definitely too much family. Its a reason why you separate family from business because sometimes it rolls over and it becomes too much.
I think something happened that we don't know because in the first and second season, they all got alone well with Vince then suddenly Toni fired him, Trina has insinuated that Vince did something very wrong and she can't stand him, Towanda and Traci can't stand him as well! So I think Vince did something that we just don't know because he's the executive producer of BFV!

He and Tamar had a bad relationship. And after the first season they were mad at Tamar too. (I think it’s because Tamar shot to stardom and the rest didn’t. And at that point Toni wasn’t the only star)

Tamar was right here. If you have a problem with him you need to take it up with him. Toni could have let Tamar know she was going to speak to Vince or let him go as her manager but it doing all that with Tamar when you know she opinionated was an extra step. And Tamar for once did try and shut up when her mama asked her too. I think Toni had a lot boiling over because she never says how she feels. JMO
I love how Towanda instigated the situation asking Toni has she met with any producers when she already knew the situation and that she wanted to fire Vince .... just saying
Lmao just earlier in that episode she was asking Toni "You want me to be there to support you when you talk to her" when really she just wanted to stir the pot. Traci was the only supporting hand in this scene.

Toni was in the wrong here. Vince is Toni's brother-in-law/manager so if Toni had an issue with management she needed to take it up with her manager Vince. It was vey unnecessary for her to bring Tamar into it. Toni said it herself "Mixing family with business isn't a good idea"

Why in the world does Tamar always think she’s on the same level as Toni .Toni Braxton is and will always be a legend of all time . Nobody can name one song of Tamar’s. Play a song of Toni ‘s and we will all break down and sing it with you because her music , her voice , and her very existence is classic legend . Tamar should take the time to learn from her.

Tamar married Vince because she was hoping he would give her a career like Toni. Everyone knows this. Toni has been used by her family for far too long. She didn't want to do the show. Vince and Tamar pressured her to do it because they wanted to use her name to help Tamar's career.
When Vince took over Toni's career it was on the backslide. Her albums weren't selling like that, so let's not make it like Toni was on Beyoncé status.
But they say Tamar is the only one that always walks out and leaves the situation, what did Toni just do.

She had a hit album with Babyface and they did win a Grammy. Plus, Toni is already a legend. She doesn't need a huge resurgence. She just wanted to record with new producers and tour again. Vince wasn't making those things happen. So Toni fired him.

I’m sorry but Toni I had to disagree here because 1993 you were introduced by yourself to the world you’ve been individualized for years and then BFV came everyone just wanted you to be apart of 1 album that’s it and you couldn’t even do that with whatever insecurities or frustrations you had in the past about carrying your sisters. Also if y’all are singing sing y’all were young then it is a family thing because if it was for you learning how to sing how’d you get signed ? Cmon now also she should’ve talk to Tamar alone and just let her know she’s firing Vince and that she’ll tell him why didn’t need to give her a reason yet . All of this could’ve been avoided
During this time, Toni had BEEN trying to get her career back off the skids. Everything she released between 2002 and 2010 was considered a comeback by the media because she hadn't had a successful era at all in that decade. I guess she didn't wanna be grouped with them as her comeback but for whatever reason she wouldn't just flat out admit to it. Notice how they finally got an album outta her after that Grammy win in 2015.
