Wow. Another great comparison video. This was a difficult choice because both have some really good strong points. The ring was more sensitive (which is a plus if you really need more time to react), but the Eufy did have better video quality. I love how the Ring integrates all of their products, but this was very difficult to choose. It may just come down to price. Thanks again for all of your hard work and attention to detail!

Thanks LifeHackster for another informative comparison. Most home security cams have okay night vision for a person standing or walking. But many struggle with quick night movement, jogging, running. The videos are blurred, ghosting. One night some kids knocked over my neighbors garbage cans and ran across my driveway leaving. My cams only showed out of focus blurs, no way to identify who they were. I then installed two flood lights and upped the frames per second on my cams, much better results. It takes good lighting, faster frames per second and good camera sensors to get descent night movement footage. Would you consider doing your running man test also at night to campare night vision quick movement? Please don't run and hit your house in the dark though (just kidding).

Ring got more color, but Eufy had more details especially with the person's face detail but Ring did better on the night vision mode but if anyone is to purchase a floodlight cam then they probably intend to use the floodlight anyway. if only notification would be faster for Eufy then it's almost perfect. loved your contents as always.

and better software. You pay for Ring or Nest but they are backed by major companies with actual technology infrastructure thats pretty reliable. Eufy's software and servers are very crappy and it makes sense cause they have to cut corners to offer a no subscription product. I'm all for no subscription (hence why I decided to run my own NVR Blue Iris with POE cams) but I understand quality and reliability and this is not where Eufy is at. I current use Arlo Pro 3 with the spotlights. Thanks!

Eufy wins on video quality and live audio recording. Ring wins on audio two way. Ring wins on night mode motion detection at a longer distance. Someone could have broken into your far back window and Eufy would have been useless.
I have all Ring including the floodlights and monitored alarm system. The integration is a cool feature. I have mine set that when my alarm goes off all of my cameras including my Ring doorbell camera start recording at the same time. This gets all audio and video.
Another cool feature is cloud recording. It's worth it. If someone was to knock down the Eufy that is only doing local recording than the storage can be damaged or the whole camera stolen with the video on it. Ring being in the cloud I always have access to the footage.
Eufy looks like an amazing product that is so close to be totally better than Ring but they have some ways to go.

I still have a DVR with two POE cameras that record locally and in a home setting its not the most secure unless it's in a secure room no one can get in. There's always the chance that local video can be compromised, destroyed or stolen.
Cloud recording eliminates that. You can destroy the camera but the footage is secured off-site. But likebthe other person said...it's best when bundled with the alarm system and monitoring by the security company Ring uses.
My wife set off rhe alarm one day and they were quick to respond by calling my phone.

Eufy is owned by China company Anker. China camera companies have been known for security problems sometimes. Any brand that uses Cloud/internet has a chance of being hacked and/or information collecting. The most secure cameras do not use Cloud/internet, they record to local storage. But the benefits of having a Cloud based camera system outweighs the small security risk for most people.
