I prayed that he hadn’t passed and he was trending for different reasons, but when I saw the headline that he had died at 78 I felt empty. Such a wonderful man with such wonderful songs. Rest In Peace.

Normally - - as a young teenager-- I was very much into British pop and rock music, but this Bacharach(?) movie song did something for me. Unfortunately I didn't watch Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. I would have enjoyed it, as I liked Robert Redford a lot Anyway the song reminds me of a romantic walk on an East Frisian island (Northern Germany) in the rain with a charming but very well behaved young man. The melody was in my head during that walk. Very nice!
