Stix was the legend of juggling.... We used to juggle at 1 commando grounds from one goal end to the other. If you dropped the ball in between you had to start again.... !!! Stix , Gerry Chidawa and Stanley Ndunduma were always the first to finish !!!! Simon Mugabe and Maronga Nyangela were always last to finish.... Good old days !!!
Glens Strikers first and only match in the top was against CAPS Rovers and after the break-up of the national league CAPS United emerged with Stanford Stix Mutizwa, Dixon Ngwanya , William Chikauro, Joseph Chingwalu.and Bernard Timbinawo crossing over to CAPS United.
Still going strong Stix . Yu mentioned British Mloyi was with him in Vic Falls last week. Guys i used to enjoy yur type of play . What a great player of all time
Please bring Mukoma Stix back. We need to hear his National team experiences and also his personal friendship with Sinyo. What he’s doing now and also his post Black Rhinos coaching career at Triangle and other teams. Thanks for such a very interesting and at times hilarious interview.
@1:04:40 🤣🤣 Sinyo laughing at a serious injury... now i know where i got my "cant take anything serious attitude" 🤣🤣, great interview from a legend ive had lots of encounters with, God bless uncle Stixx! One of my favourite midfielders of all time. Alois thanks for taking him down memory lane!
Thought Joel Shambo was appointed CAPTAIN in 1980 where Charles Sibanda and Shackyman Tauro captained the side with Shacky taking the second half of the season.
Hahaha, that's very true. Shooters dzainetsa kutamba nadzo at first. The way you turn and stop with shooters is very different. And if you are not used them you can actually get injured. It changes the dynamics of your body, especially when pivoting and turning, coz those studs really grip the ground. Body inoramba ichiienda, but tsoka yakanamatira pa ground. Not recommended for the overweight. You can break an ankle. You will be expecting your feet to slide a little, but with shooters you will not slide. Pawamirira ndipapo.
I remember a game at the national sports stadium , it was ZBC vs legends, as curtain raiser against might have been against Egypt. Sticks played in that game. Haa Sticks akawaura vanhu too bad. Mumwe muface haa aifara , Aingoti kana sticks akawaura munhu, osheedzera kuti STICKEE HAAPERI, I think he shouted stickee haaperi more than 50 times . Stix akatamba too bad
Among all the legends I have seen ,Stix had the sharpest memory!
