What a strikingly beautiful race of people, physically and within!
The guy at 03:37... Woooo I'm gonna faint... He's one of the most few attractive guy I have ever seen in my whole entire life! 😍😍😍
Polynesians are beautiful people, its too bad that modern diets have made so many of them obese. Samoa has the worst rates for Obesity and Diabetes in the world, even worse than the Saudis.
Is that guy Kevin Maruhi?
those girls hips like cow bells klick klock klick klock and my heart goes.... flat lineeeeeee hahahhahaa hope the young ones don't let go of this tradition. There's a story behind each performance and ooh, would love to be there :)
wonderful!
They’re pretty!
So beatiful people
Wow beautiful beautiful wow
The dance is using the whole body to move.. it's magnificent
The eyes are big part is the dance as well. Where you take your eyes at the time of the dance must be ensync with others
So many good looking people.
Now I know where to visit after this Pandemic
How can these dances be so sexy and yet so very respectful. Amazing!
salvadoroars Polynesian dance is not about being sexy. Each moves has meanings and tells a story. It is beautiful though.
The natives of Tahiti before the arrival of the Europeans and Christianity in the late 1700s actually had radically different sexual rules than most societies at the time. Free love was a thing, women could have multiple male partners, men could have multiple female partners, children were raised communally, and ritualized orgies were not unheard of. (Though some Europeans did the same thing, especially in Russia where bizarre Christian cults also practiced ritualized orgies between men and women.) These old dances now seem sexy because that's precisely what they were in the olden days due to the relaxed sexual rules of traditional Tahitian society. People think "traditional" so they think "very restrained" and definitely not "sexy." That wasn't the case in ALL cultures of the world.
@@aloha_oe311 Lol sure, but it is sexual. Before only men where allowed to dance unless the Arioi class who where professional artists and entertainers, and they danced for the chief for him to select one to mate with on stage. Tho this was private only for the chief. Today they dance for the people and to celebrate life.
@@Luboman411 it’s not “traditional” in the sense that the dance was banned, and revived again X generations later in the 60’s. How they dance now was once seen as modern. Ori Tahiti has evolved a lot and still does as we speak. An d not just in Tahiti. Every place before Christianity was a much more open, liberal and free place than today even. Christianity basically ruined it.
The proud people of mu.

It is actually more like Merrie Monarch in Hawaii, Te maeva nui in the Cook islands or in NZ Te matatini kapa
Bigger! It's the motherland of Ori Tahiti and is the largest competition in the world. Usually only Tahitians can enter, unless you are invited to dance with a group. Every dancers dream if not compete at least watch and experience the Heiva.
