- I set myself a challenge with a book given to me by Xander from @XandersCottage and I'm done with the first quarter (and then some)! I have even stayed on track with time. I'm going to chat a little, show you all those socks, and the Sock Madness socks I finished.

Sooo many socks...I am sooo impressed !!! \(^-^)/. I purchased the book to knit along and didn't even finish the first pair (sigh) 🤦♀.
Maybe someday you'll go back, or maybe you'll pass the book on to somebody else someday!

Unity! Porch light! I feel like we are shouting our fiber safe words :) You always make me smile so glad to see your face again. I have been trying to finish my first pair of socks for 4yrs! (cerebral palsy and fibromyalgia :)) ) Any advice on a pattern I might be able to finish? All of your socks are swoony!
I'll think about that would you call yourself a beginner. Intermediate, or advanced knitter overall?
from Gerry- I only did socks # 1, 3, 7. I love each but I find that most are way beyond my skill level even though I have been knitting all my life. I am mesmerized by your work. Well done. God bless. Porch light!

Wear the pink Crespedia socks to the wedding rehearsal. Your sister will be there with you. If you are worried about the dress color, knit a shawl to wear with it that goes with the pink, but is a better color for you so it's that color close to your face.

It's allergies! Ragweed is knocking us a bit, but he definitely has a harder time!
I love the brighter colors, both Lempi, and morning coffee.
I think that pink will look fine on you, but maybe you could get a pink that is a little richer in color and still be in the dress code?

@@FiberLoveDiary i actually don't. i'm pretty good, better than most i'd say, at filling my day, because i do have so many things i love to do. . but here at someone else's house i ran out of good you tube to watch. right now knitting some possum/merino (!) my friend brought as a gift from new zealand.
i'm also so impressed with your sockness. i have a goal this year (this winter) to make just one pair!
@@FiberLoveDiary well this might get up twice but.. i think i hit the wrong button. of course. but i don't usually get bored as i have so many interests. but i'm at someone else's house with you tube and ran out of fun stuff. now knitting with possum/merino i recieve as a gift and dreaming of catching some of your sick mojo... goal-one pair by winters end

Thumbs up for John!! 29:00 My daughter preordered 52 Socks for me- so it has been years. I’ve knit 1 pair. :/ (the text is too light for my old eyes!). I am so-o-o proud of you for knitting all those socks and continuing to plow ahead! I just found a young dyer nearby, totally different from my dying! Bought 4 skeins of her sock yarn. Monk and Moose Fiber Co. I’m diving back into the book. Love those Unity socks!

What a fun package!!! There's some nice looking socks in that second book. I really like a lot of your dye jobs for the socks you did using those yarns. Looking forward to the branches sock. I take it you used the stitch count in the book for those? Did the Unity ones fit you? I assume they did. Awe, cool about the Mowry sock/yarn. That Fiona is a pretty color. Seeing yours makes me want hit the book up again lol. Feel better John, allergies suck. I like the yarn in the porch light socks. That top color on the Lempi would have been cool where the red is I bet. Are the slip stitch thick? The last 2 were nice too. The hot pink ones look difficult.
I did use the stitch count in the book for Branches. I would knit them again. They all pretty much fit, but yes, the Unity in particular fit me. I hope you try the book again. I learned that the yarn choice makes all the difference for how much I like them! They slip stitch socks were just a tad thicker than usual, but not stiff or anything.
Community or unity , I apparently can't hear. Just one more thing falling apart 😅

Seems to me the dress color should be good. You’ll feel better if you have amazing makeup and lippy on, I liked the suggestion of a coordinated shawl, and I don’t know if you might consider temporarily shifting your hair color a tiny bit of a tone? Those were the thoughts that occurred to me as you were holding the socky to your face. And Yes! Wear the socks, it’ll be awesome to have your sister with you, maybe to the rehearsal.
I love the Porch Light socks! “If you go to clown school at night…” 🤣🤣🤣 The Lempy socks need a home where they will be loved. Turns out I foster socks like you and John foster doggies. 🤪😁 For years “cute socks” were on my stocking list for my husband at Christmas time. -Tami #socklover

These are all so fun and beautiful!! I need to get back on the train for this, but I have so much stuff happening so it's going to take me a while to get "caught up". I know, you said go at your own pace, but you're so inspiring and I don't want the FOMO pressure hanging over my head. Maybe I'll be caught up by spring... Love you! (Feel better John!)
Unity and Porch Light! Love them! The leaves are turning to fall colors now here in Vermont. It's a busy tourist season. I'd love to get that sock book someday. It's on my list!
